I showed you a sneak peak of my Ikea pails yesterday. Today I finally came up with some ideas to complete the table. I am not hosting Easter this year, but I wanted the table to be festive for the children during this season. I pulled out the Easter eggs and grass from last year and filled each pail with its matching color. I got that idea from Megan at Honey We’re Home. I am not huge on the nod to pastels so keeping it monochromatic seemed much more fun and chic. If I were Supermom these would be beautifully decorated hand-blown eggs, but I pick and choose my projects! Plastic it is, my friends!!!
Then I busted out the Silhouette Machine and printed out “Spring is Here” in Suzy’s Hand {font}. I used vinyl so that I can peel them off and reuse these for a different purposes after spring.
To make the runner I used burlap I had on hand. I just cut two long pieces and glued them together so that it would be long enough. I found cute green and white zebra print ribbon at Michael’s to trim the edges.
I used the glue gun to attach the ribbon. At the corners I just folded the ribbon diagonally.
The last thing I did was cut out some funky branches with the Silhouette. I think they are whimsical and add a little something to the runner. I can easily peel them off when I no longer want to use them.
All in all it was simple and inexpensive {which I love}. I only spent $8 and best of all my daughter helped me put it all together. After Easter, I will fill the pails with fresh flowers which will be a great spring addition. Ikea Pails $2.00 { x 4} Zebra Ribbon $1.99 {on sale} Eggs, Grass, Vinyl {free, on hand materials} Have a great day! I will be back tomorrow with a living room design I just completed for a very sweet client.

Hi Courntey – I am your newest follower! The Easter pails are just too precious and I love the table runner. You just inspired me to use some leftover burlap from my son's pirate party this past weekend. 🙂
So cute! I can't wait to have kiddos so I can do more holiday crafts. It just seems like so much more fun with kids 🙂

Oh adorable! I love the ribbon trim on the runner! AND I thought of you the other day when I was at Michael's and only stopped to look at the $1 bins b/c YOU always find such cute things there! I found two oversized aqua clothespins that I'm gonna use for something:)
p.s. thanks for the shout out- I'm giggling that our tables looks so similar twinkie!
It's so cute. We won't be home for Easter either, this year. We just bought an Airstream trailer, and we're going to go on our first-ever family trip that same weekend.
I'm going to have to be very creative if I want to make the Airstream 'festive.'
I love your runner and the zebra trim is fun! I think that is the perfect Easter table. Simple, pretty and colorful!
