Summer to Fall Wreath

November 10, 2010 by Courtney 16 Comments

I have had the inside of our home looking ready for fall for quite sometime now. Sadly, I completely ignored the outside. Maybe that is because it is still sunny and 75 degrees outside. There is a window on our porch that lends itself to a wreath as people see it when they walk by. I am a huge fan of window wreaths {as you will see during Christmas time!}. I am a minimalist, however, when it comes to these window decorations. A simple bow works for me. I often find cute ribbon at the dollar store. Here is a look at the summer wreath turned fall wreath. I really stepped out of my comfort zone and added leaves to this one! The leaf garland is another dollar store find. IMG_7017IMG_7018IMG_7019 IMG_7880IMG_7883IMG_7887IMG_7891

I too love window wreaths, but usually only put them out for Christmas. I love this idea! And, both the summer and fall wreath are beautiful. So simple, yet elegant!! Hmmm…I think I just might have a couple grapevine wreaths hanging around in the basement that would look perfect on our two front porch windows.

Very nice simple wreath! I can't wait to see the Christmas ones!! I'd like to add wreaths to our windows too, but may have to hire someone to do the second floor ones:)

This is great! That green ribbon is so cute for summer. And I love how the simple changes are such a fun transition into fall! I love your blog so much I added it to my blog roll on my ride hand side bar (: Have a great day, Courtney!

Grape vine wreaths are so great to have around. The other day, I saw one used as a charger. Love.

I love the simplicity of your wreaths. Classy and elegant. I am inspired to go get a couple grape vine wreaths now. I especially like the simple bow as you've done in your green one.

I was JUST telling my husband how I needed to find one wreath that I could change something minor on, each season. Great idea!
