Can you believe it’s March?! That means spring is around the corner. And there is nothing better than springtime in Paris! This month’s Michaels Makers challenge was about creating something inspired by the beautiful city in the spring. To me that means gorgeous flowers, delightful macaroons and chic style. I decided to blend the three in a simple package. I wanted to create something that was easy to replicate and could be given to teachers, friends, moms, sisters, or neighbors. Here is my Paris inspired gift. Now, if I were super talented I would tell you that I made those yummy Macaroons. But alas, I did not. I didn’t trust myself. Instead I thanked the bakers at Whole Foods for creating such delicious treats. These florals at Michaels inspired this package. Such a nod to Paris and the beautiful pinks and greens were impossible to resist. Here is the deal. One bundle of flowers could create a good 8-9 pretty presents. You’ll be using one flower per box. This stem was originally $14 but was 50% off so I was able to scoop it up for $7. But with a 40% off coupon it will always be a great deal. Here are the other supplies I used. The baking aisle is a great spot to find packages of white boxes. You don’t even need to put edible treats in them. A cute bracelet or pretty bowl. . . anything would fit. The idea is to wrap it up with the gorgeous flower to make a really special statement. I love these brown paper stickers. They look so sweet with French sayings. And I think it’s fun to place the sticker on the inside of the box. I used a chalk pen on these. These macaroons were being wrapped up for my dear friend for her birthday. And just in case any of you are gluten free, macaroons are gluten free treats {of course double check with your bakery}. The salted caramel one was calling my name! There is something so feminine and chic about the ruffled ribbon. Reminds me of Paris. I wrapped it around and taped it to the top of the box. After cutting off a bloom and an extra set of leaves, a dab of hot glue did the trick to secure it to the top of the box. It’s such a simple way to present a gift, but I think it makes a big impact. And how doesn’t love getting a little touch of Paris?! Speaking of, Paris holds such special memories for my hubby and me. We went before we had our daughter and it was a trip of a lifetime. We saved and saved and scraped by to go. Once there, we could only afford picnics and have the best memories of sipping wine and eating cheese and baguettes under the Eiffel Tower. It was magical. Now it’s your turn! That’s right, you can enter to win the trip of a lifetime to Paris too. How? By creating your own Parisian-inspired art, floral, baking or paper crafting project and uploading a photo to https://paris.michaels.com/ through March 31. You can also share your project on social using #SpringtimeInParis #Contest. What do you win? A four-night trip for two to Paris, 1,000 euros, a VIP tour of the Louvre, private classes including sketching, floral arranging, baking and more! If you need a little Paris inspiration to get you started, take a look at some of the Springtime in Paris projects on Michaels.com. I’d say that’s a pretty amazing contest. Are you in? Cheers to a beautiful Monday, friends! Check out the beautiful projects created by the other Michaels Makers below:

Everything you touch is just gorgeous Courtney! Those boxes are adorable. Paris is such a magical place…is it not? We were fortunate to travel the world before kiddos and were able to enjoy the sights of this gorgeous city. Have a great week friend!

Gorgeous presentation with the package Courtney. So So pretty. I love the ruffles on the ribbon. Paris is on my wish list…hopefully very soon. My husband has been but I have not. My mom and I had a trip planned for just the two of us. What a lovely and romantic photo of you and your hubby. You two have not aged at all.

My daughter has requested a Paris-Flower-Mermaid-Butterfly themed party for her 5th birthday! When I asked her if she wanted to pick just one of these she said, "Can't you do it all, mommy?" Challenge accepted! This would make for a perfect party favor for her sweet little friends! I also lived in Belgium for five years and loved visiting Paris in the Springtime! There is nothing quite like it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creation! Merci!
