Sweet Treats and Friendship

May 26, 2011 by Courtney 12 Comments

I have had the fortune of being a part of a most supportive and amazing MOPS group. Quite simply, it’s a group of women that get together every other week {while our children are in the loving hands of care givers} to drink coffee, eat breakfast, and share about life, love, marriage, mommy hood and all that it encompasses. I have mentioned this group before, and really feel as though our table of eight women will be friends for a lifetime. One of our sweet friends now looks down over us from heaven after losing her battle to cancer. I feel uplifted and quite blessed to know such great women. Today was our last meeting for the year and I wanted to bring a sweet treat. I share because these could also be fun to hand out to teachers, caregivers, or friends as the school year draws to a close. IMG_1779 IMG_1774 I used the Silhouette to cute the flower shape, but you could easily trace a circle or use a flower shaped punch. I printed out circles with “Happy Summer” printed on them. Glued the two together and added a flower embellishment. I picked up the craft sticks at Michael’s.     IMG_1777IMG_1798IMG_1799 So thank you to my MOPS group for being such a wonderful support as we journey through life and motherhood together. I will be back tomorrow with some fun Friday Eye Candy before the long weekend! yahoooo!

What a "sweet" thing for you to do for your friends in your group. They look delicious! So sorry to hear about your friend. A friend of mine (her daughter played on the team our daughter coached this season) just underwent a bilateral mastectomy this week.

A suppourt group of any kind is always great. I belong to a local MOMs group and has been a great way to meet new people and make friends. So sorry to hear about your friend.

I have the Cricut Cake that I use for crafts and fondant and I love it. Makes crafts making so easy and fun. My husband is trying to get me to buy the Silhouette or the Imagine but I think its too much for at this time.

Hi Courtney, you are so blessed to have a group like this to go through these years with! Nothing like friends who support each other through good times and bad, like losing your friend.
Your cupcakes are adorable and I love all the attention to detail you give everything!
    Have a great weeekend!
