First off, I just want to thank all of you who left such heartfelt comments on the post about taking off the training wheels. I rarely write from such a personal place so to know that it spoke to some of you really made me so very happy. And thank you to those who took the time to email me about their own personal journeys. Last week I mentioned that I was bringing back the “Take 5” series and I was thrilled to find out that so many of you were on board as well. I plan to show you some of my own quick and easy projects as well as highlight reader projects. So I am kicking it off this week with a fantastic staircase makeover created by Heather from the blog home with heather. Heather and I have a great deal in common. We both loved striped walls, organizing, decorating and we both were fifth grade teachers.

I think these stairs are amazing. I love the sentiment and the personal touch. I am just wishing I had the right type of stairs to do this project on.
