Wow. What a weekend. Are you all as wiped out as I am? How did Tuesday come rolling in so quickly? I hope you all had a safe and wonderful Independence Day celebration with those you love. We felt extremely blessed to be surrounded by our dear friends and to once again give thanks for this amazing country we are so fortunate to call home. While watching the fireworks show, my son {age 3} looked over at us and said, “I so happy.” It was one of those heart melting moments. What life is all about, right! This week’s Take 5 Tuesday is a fantastic idea. I think it’s one that you could use in any room in your home. It’s quick and easy but packs a big punch. Enjoy. Monogrammed Message Board This project that Jamie put together is right up my alley! So adorable. And can we talk about how her blog header matches the vignette! Love. See her instructions below and check out he full post here. This is a super easy project. It’s a monogrammed dry-erase message board. (It takes longer to type the description than to make it!) I made this for my mom when I was in Utah. Since I’ve decorated about every room in her house, I decided to tackle her classroom! She had all of her students sign the message board…just one thing that makes her the coolest teacher WITH the coolest classroom! All you need is a poster frame (this one was half off at Hobby Lobby), a thin, light weight letter (also from Hobby Lobby), scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, and tape or glue. First, Mod Podge your your monogram in paper or fabric. Take the back off of the poster frame, turn the display paper around so that just the white shows, tape or glue your monogram, and put your frame back together. Use dry-erase or overhead projector markers on the surface to write messages. Told ya. Easy peasy. Thanks, Jamie. I love it. ……………………………………………………………………………………. I did manage to pound the rest of my nail heads into those two chairs I bought. I will show you the finished version tomorrow! Have a great day.

I heart a monogram! And what a sweet boy! James is starting to talk more, he loves to put his arms in the air and say "Up" when he wants picked up! 🙂 He pronounces it so emphatically- adorable!

You should consider compiling all of these into a book! Such great quick ideas. Especially for those of us that pretend to decorate our house… I can really do some of these. I think.

I love it. I have collected varying sizes and fonts styles of papier mache letters for an art project that is still not done. Have you ever worked with that before? Any tips?
