Hi everyone! I have to say that I am a bit giddy as I will be heading out to Charleston, South Carolina tomorrow for a much needed four days of frolicking in the sun with good friends from college. Yahoo!!! Every two years, my college girlfriends and I pick a spot somewhere in the United States to reunite. So along with sharing more fun projects, I am also scurrying around to get everything ready to go. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Today we have three talented bloggers here to inspire you with quick and easy ideas! Let’s get to it! Idea #2: Faux Flower Canvas
This next idea from the adorable and sassy Michelle of Ten June is one of my favorites. It is so striking and would look great in so many different rooms. Cut your circles into four different sizes. Place in a bag and squish to get a wrinkled effect! Then put a straight pin through the fabric and faux pearl! It’s as easy as that! Thank you, Michelle, for this darling project. I can see this type of art looking great in a child’s room, nursery, guest room, or bathroom. You can really change the feel of it depending on the fabrics you use. And what a great piece of art to make from scrap pieces of fabric you have designed a room in. You can read her whole post here. And FYI . . she found these fabrics in the form of Tea Towels! So keep your eyes peeled . . . anything would work! Idea #2: Summer Wreath My sweet friend Lauren from Simply LKJ is always doing amazing things around her house to make it a home. She is such a dedicated mother to her wonderful children and I admire her so much. Here is a darling summer wreath she put together in just a few minutes! Supplies You Will Need: 2 grapevine wreaths (one smaller than the other) Seashells Jute twine Burlap (or ribbon) Glue gun 1. Attach the two grapevine wreaths together, the smaller on top of the larger. This makes the wreath appear fuller. I used zip ties! 2. Randomly glue your seashells around the grapevine wreaths once assembled. 3. Add some jute twine, and finish with a burlap bow (or ribbon you have on hand). Thanks, Lauren. Such a great wreath for this time of year. Now all I need is a beach house to go with it! Idea #3: Make Your Own Bird Feeder And now it’s time to get messy! The talented Natasha from Shue Love is here today with a fantastic summer project. I can always count on Natasha for some amazingly yummy recipes as well. You can check out her blog right here. Take it away, Natasha! ……………………………………………………………………….
- A good sized pine cone
- Bird seed
- Peanut Butter (the natural kind is the best with the natural oils)
- Agave nectar or honey…to give it more “stickiness”
- String to hang the feeder
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………… And while I head to Charleston {where I am hoping to meet up with Chassity!!!! from Look Linger Love} The Take Five series will continue! Thursday and Friday are packed with super simple and fantastic projects. In case you missed any projects they can be found here: Take Five Day One Take Five Day Two
