We are in the throws of cleaning out our playroom/family room and making a few changes. Primarily, this summer has shined a huge spotlight on the fact that most of our toys aren’t being used OR the toys are so disorganized that the children can not play with them. Because we are outdoors so much during summer, I find that the only indoor toys being used are ones that help them create. They like to draw, read, and play make believe. Instead of playing with their actual toys, they spend hours building a fort or making an “office” out of pillows and couch cushions. Of course as moms, this is the type of play we like to encourage. So we really did clean house and sent a zillion toys packing. We donated them and are making way for more changes. I may be the last one to be swept away by the teepee trend. I am sure you are seeing them everywhere as well. I fell in love with one that was featured over at Ten June. This teepee is the cutest thing ever. See for yourself: strawberry swing and other things I love everything about it. Especially the floral fabric. So it has gotten me thinking. Would my kids use a teepee? Are they too old? Would they rather build their own fort. I am not really sure. I do know that they are crazy cute and there are so many options out there. The DIYer in me wants to bust one out . . .like today. But gosh. Seems like a crazy amount of work, doesn’t it?! Here are a few more examples I scooped up for you. Raspberry & Lime Shop – Lace Teepee Tent Love Lime Kids – Etsy Striped Teepee Love Lime Kids – Etsy Striped Teepee Great Plains Teepee – Amazon featured in the playroom of Kirsten Krason land of nod teepee You sort of want to crawl into a teepee now, don’t you!? So while I ponder the great teepee conundrum, I will just stare at these for inspiration. What are your thoughts? Do you have one for your kiddos or grandchildren? Would you want one for them? Let’s talk teepee, people! hope it’s a good day

I have three daughters, and my younger two (who are now 12) have a teepee that they still ask to use in the back yard during the warm months! This was a gift one Christmas from their grandparents when they were about 4 years old. I think it's from Land of Nod. They love to spread a blanket or beach towel inside and play or eat in there. They think it's cozy!

Thank you so much for the shout out and teepee love! It's definitely a trend I'm already a bit over from it being everywhere on Pinterest (hello chevron and chalkboards) but like both, I still had to have one!

I love the teepee trend and plan to make one (or buy one, that Etsy one is adorable) for Parker's big boy room! I'm also obsessed with Kirsten's–I loved her whole playroom! I used to love to find or make little hiding spots when I was kid and take some snacks and books and hang out all day. I can't wait to make a space for Parker like that!

Thanks girl!! SO glad you liked the space.

We don't really have space for one in our home but I know my daughter would probably love it! I love the look of them too!

I see a teepee campout in your future. What a fun idea and much easier than couch cushion forts!

News to me on the teepee trend. I must be behind the times [or just not on pinterest ;)]
My kids love to have places where they can cozy up, so I know they would love one.

Love all these pictures. I think teepees and forts are wonderful! My kids (9.5, 7 and 3)all love any form of "tent" I say go for it, it will create such great memories for them! The best thing…the endless giggles from the kiddos when they are in their fun space and they think you aren't listening!

I LOVE these! I have been thinking for a while that I am going to get Stella a teepee for Christmas or her birthday. It's the best, because it's cute enough to leave out all the time! Love toys like that!

Yes you want a teepee! We just one for our four year old and love it. I did a post like this as well and discovered play haven on etsy. Check it out, and the greatest thing is that it easily just folds up to put away, no assembly required at any point!!
