HI all! We are crazy busy cooking up a storm for Thanksgiving. The kids are involved, the pumpkin cheesecake candle is burning and we are soaking in this time. If you follow on Instagram you would have seen my naked mantel. I just couldn’t figure out what to do this year. Luckily, I popped into Pottery Barn and bought a little something. It’s not on my mantel, but the bag is! Yep. The tote bag they are sending you on your way with this season is an amazing plaid. So I popped it in a frame, printed out a chalkboard saying and added some faux stems. Bam. Done and done. I am keeping things simple this year which is in keeping with our rustic table. The printable which reads, “Thankful and Blessed” is from here. The giraffe has special significance to my husband and me so it sits proudly on the mantel this year. And for the record, I am totally ok with faux stems. In fact, I embrace them! Do I prefer having fresh stems everywhere? Of course. But sometimes you just need a big spray of color and texture and they do just that. My favorite spot to pick them up is World Market. They actually read much prettier and warmer in person. And yes. I threw them in there bent stems and all. We just recently painted our front door black. I am so in love with it and thought it would be fun to add a little bit of bling. The gold vinyl was a piece of cake to create with my Silhouette Cameo. The word “thanks” should have been more spread out when I placed it on the door . . . but my children happened to throw a volleyball straight at a glass vase {on the front porch} which shattered into a gazillion pieces. I quickly stuck the rest of the word to the door so I could go get them out of the way of the glass. Keeping it real, people. It was a bit crazy. I created a couple of more really quick items with my Silhouette for tomorrow’s celebration. I can’t wait to show you. And big news!!!! Make sure you pop in tomorrow. I have a huge offer from Silhouette coming your way. If you have ever been curious or have wanted to ask Santa for one. . . tomorrow is your chance. Sending you warm blessings from our kitchen to yours as you prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving. And if you are reading from abroad and do not celebrate, enjoy your day all the same and I will see you all tomorrow. … If you missed my Thanksgiving table you can check it out here. It is rustic and simple.

Plaid bag framed. Brilliant. Bent stems and emergency vinyl letter placement…perfect anyway. Yep. Real life. Easy to think that some of those amazing bloggers and celebrity faces ('cuz you're kind of both now, TV lady!) we all admire are perfect and live a life that's somehow different from ours. I love that you keep it real. I KNOW you must have your moments. You don't want to see mine. Lol.
Beautiful as always, Courtney. Hope you Thanksgiving was wonderful!
