Happy Monday to you all! I don’t know about you, but if felt like a longer holiday than normal. Maybe it’s because my oldest was off of school for a whole week {much different than from when we were little and only had two days off!} It really felt like a long nice break and we enjoyed all of it. My sister, Kristin, hosted a beautiful Thanksgiving. Seriously yummy food and such fun company. Of course the night ended in a competitive game of pictionary on the Wii. If nothing else, we can all throw down when it comes to drawing under pressure! And it’s always boys against girls. Here is a quick recap of the beautiful table. Each place setting held a beautiful glass which Kristin had spayed gold. They hosted a candle as well as a leaf to display each guest’s name. Super cute. And this was genius. Playing off of her natural centerpiece, she hallowed out the top of two artichokes to use as beautiful votives. Clever girl. Before taking off for my sister’s home we set up the timer and tried for a family photo. Happy Thanksgiving 2012! I mentioned on Friday that we like to get away one night a year during the holidays. We are very fortunate to live close to some pretty getaway spots so there are no travel costs. Always a perk. Nice to getaway from responsibility, work, and the craziness of the holidays to catch our breath. Our kiddos savored their time with their niece. Thankful indeed. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday whether it was quiet or one full of family chaos! Are you getting ready for Christmas now? We have all of our décor out and almost in place. We are still in the stage where it looks like a Christmas bomb went off. Hopefully the glitter and Christmas sparkle will soon settle making way to a much cleaner home. ………………………………….giveaway winner Congratulations to Andrea A. !!!! You are the winner of the Kirkland’s gift card!!! Happy holiday shopping!!! Thank you to all who entered. Have a great day.
