So Monday night was pretty darn out of the ordinary. I don’t normally find myself in LA crafting with my favorite HGTV host/designer ever. I was lucky enough to be invited to a VIP event with Michaels and Sabrina Soto. I have long admired her work, her skill, beauty and talent. So making a chalkboard charger with a design hero of mine was nothing short of really awesome. Sabrina is so well known for creating amazing designs on a budget and that is speaking my language. Thank you to Michaels for such a fun night. You’ll have to excuse the all iPhone photo post but I really wanted to share because if you are local you can meet her too! And even if you’re not, you can take part in the Make it With Michaels Pinterest Party this weekend. That’s me trying to act cool . . . even though I wanted squeal and ask Sabrina if she would be my best friend. Don’t worry. I didn’t. My plate was horrendous though. That’s not embarrassing or anything. Hats of to Gather Events of LA who put together a darling event complete with the cutest Hot Cocoa Bar. Thought you might like to see in case you are planning to create one this holiday season. It was also so much fun to have my dear friend, Tammy, from Pink Peppermint Designs there to share in the fun. We drove to LA together and couldn’t stop chatting the entire way. So we were treated to a sneak peek of the party that will go down this Saturday. . . in every Michaels! Do you have one close to you? If so you can hang out from 1-4 pm and learn how to make one of ten really darling projects. This booklet has each project as well as the supplies necessary and the directions. You will also be given a 30% off coupon. And if you are in LA. . . . Sabrina Soto will be at the Michaels on Olympic. She could not be more down to Earth and amazing. She went out of her way to make the ten of us feel so comfortable and welcome. Witty, talented, and beautiful. . . . such an infectious combination. Most of you know my daughter is crazy about art so she immediately spotted the colorful ornament art to make. These cute Yarn Wrapped Trees are more my speed. Can’t wait to make some. This is one of the ten projects you can create if you attend a party this Saturday. It was like we had known each other for years! Ok. . . maybe we staged this one with the, “Let’s look like we are cracking up laughing” bit, but genuine laughter ensued anyway. Good company, good crafting, good memories. Now go make some of your own this Saturday! So remember that if you’re in LA you can craft with Sabrina Soto this Saturday from 1-4 pm. { 11260 Olympic Blvd} If you are not in LA, every Michaels location is still partying from 1-4 pm and you can follow along with #MadeWithMichaels. * On a side note, if you missed my gift guide for little ones {made with the help of my little ones} you can check it out here.

How cool is that?! I've long been a fan of Sabrina's since her 'Get it Sold' day. She has always been such an inspiration to me as I'm a Home Stager also, she had the best ideas! I would have probably been super awkward trying to play it cool if it was me. 😉 So glad you had the opportunity to not only meet her but craft with her!
