A Touch of Industrial

March 5, 2011 by Courtney 18 Comments

Do you have a touch of industrial in your home? It’s a look that I LOVE. A little touch of “industrial” amidst an otherwise traditional space looks fantastic. Have you warmed up to this look yet? Here are a couple of gorgeous examples of the industrial barstools juxtaposed with a traditional space:

via August Fields   I walked into World Market the other day and saw a wonderful line of industrial furniture. They have some super cute barstools {not online yet} and a coffee table on casters that I am loving. Overstock.com also offers a great set of stools at an amazing price.  I just really wish I had an island or bar to scoot these up next to!  How do you feel about this look?

I love it. A little industrial in a traditional space is unexpected and interesting.

I like that it is unexpected and I think the texture it adds to a space is great, but they don't look very comfy!! Now if they had a little cush to them, now you are talking. I do love the industrial lighting a lot!!! Happy weekend KS

Big fan of the industrial look…especially with the little ones running around sliming everything…it's super practical! (c:

I'm really into the concrete counter-tops, which I feel is an industrial look! Love this concept!

I never thought of industrial until I got the Restoration Hardware catloge. They are kinda overboard on some stuff but the little decorative items they used like old metal shelves and lockers are awsome. Just trying to figure out how to incorporate it in my home.

I absolutely love this look! I love seeing rooms that perfectly blend modern with traditional, old with new. These rooms did it! They're great. I recently came across a great deal from Home Depot, for industrial style Tolix chairs at a great price! I want to incorporate them as dining chairs in our kitchen, to offset the rustic round table!

Those barstools are great! You could always add a little metal side table somewhere? Or a cute small way is wire metal baskets? Love the look : ) Very Restoration Hardware!

I too LOVE these barstools! I saw them at World Market, ran (literally) over to them to see the price tag, and ended up with my bottom lip stuck out. Boo. Was really hoping they would have been half the price. But, I still want them 🙂

Adore the ones by Brooklyn Limestone! They look like something out of an old schoolhouse. 🙂 Using a few industrial treasures in a home mixes so well and so easily with any type of decor. I especially love it mixed with alot of white with touches of dark wood here and there. Yum!
