A Touch of Mudroom!

March 8, 2011 by Courtney 33 Comments

So what I have figured out over the last couple of years is that as soon as something isn’t working well, you need to switch it up! So in our clubhouse {converted coat closet} we are making a few changes. Simple changes that should make a huge difference. Here is a sneak peak. ……………………………………………………new bench………………………………. IMG_9978 IMG_9975 Keeping it real: this is what happens when you have toddlers and your are trying to snap some photos! Most of the time my two year old wants to take the pictures! …………………………………………………..fabric choices ………………………………………………. I am over the moon about these colorful fabrics. And I think they work great having a boy and a girl using the space. IMG_9982IMG_9983IMG_9984 So with the addition of a mudroom bench and some fun fabrics { some of our pink touches will have to get a makeover!} we should be operating a bit more smoothly over here. Stay tuned for the finished {is anything ever finished} reveal.  What about you? Have you majorly tweaked something just months after “completing” it?

Loving those fabrics! I've been known to "tweak" things just after "finishing"…doing that now with the entertainment center in the family. Part of the musical furniture, let's simplify kick we are on!!! LOL

A house in constant transition… much like its occupants! I think its healthy, the ebb & flow of decorating (and life)… says she that changes her mind ALL THE TIME.

Love both fabrics. The navy (?) is understated, the flower fun. Happy choosing.

Thank you for all the lovely comments. I honestly don't know the names of the fabrics. I bought them at a local home fabric store (not a chain). I will post the names as soon as I can find them to share!

Incredible fabric choices! I've been fabric shopping for days for kitchen fabric and I just LOVE the floral. It is exactly what I've been looking for. Did you purchase it at Home Fabrics? I will keep checking back for the name.

Hi Rose . . . you know I had been looking everywhere as well. Even decided to make one and then I found this one at Khols! It had been on sale but wasn't when I went. I convinced them that I would take it off their hands if they gave me the sale price! Good luck with your search.
