How’s the week shaping up? We’ve managed to sneak away for some family time and it’s been glorious. While it was crazy trying to pull a last-minute trip together, it’s been so worth it. Nordstrom asked me to share their collection of designer pieces for men and since my hubby is always in need of new clothes, I thought it would be fun to look. To be honest, I always forget that they carry designer brands since I usually stick to finds under $50.

Love the cut of that jacket. That is a style my husband would absolutely love and look great in. It’s hard because in Southern California when don’t get that many really cold days, but when we do he definitely needs something that looks great with a dress shirt for the office.

Not every guy is about designer clothes. My husband is normally in a t-shirt and shorts and couldn’t care less what is the hot trend right now. Thank goodness we aren’t both shoppers. Our closet couldn’t handle that. But whenever I see a really well dressed man or look through the designer clothes, I always think of my brother. We lost my brother five years ago and I miss him every day. That kid was a sharp dresser. Big time. You know those people who look amazing and well dressed even in a pair of shorts and a polo. That was Tim. He was always impeccably dressed and carried off almost any style so well.

I will say that where my husband does splurge is on jeans and button downs. More so because that’s all he really owns. He is by no means the clothes horse in the family and he will hang on to two pairs of jeans for five or six years. His favorite brands are both from Nordstrom because of the fit. With a sturdier build it’s not always easy to find jeans that work well.

I mentioned my brother earlier and one I thing I remember so well is how he looked at our son’s baptism. He is our son’s Godfather and he wore that Burberry tie with a beautiful suit. Such wonderful memories. My husband has a big birthday coming up and it might be nice to splurge on a similar tie for him. It brings back such happy memories. I will say that my husband kills it in the sock department. I love when we go out and he has on amazing socks. They don’t break the bank but they do add so much style.
