What’s Your Fashion Snapshot, Cottage and Vine?

Guess what’s back? Back again. It’s Fashion Snapshot day and I love it. Today I am asking Rene from Cottage and Vine to dish about her fashion style. She’s describing her style in three words and then showing us how that reflects in her interior choices. But before we get to that, I have to gush a bit about Rene. Not only is she remarkably talented, but just the sweetest and most down to Earth girl you will ever meet. She was my partner in crime when we both filmed an episode of HomeStretch {a design show for SheKnows TV}. Getting to know Rene was such a gift. I can truly call her friend and know that we could pick up right where we left off any time. I adore her and her sense of style. … A big warm hello to Courtney’s readers!  Courtney is one of my favorites.  She’s such a doll and super sweet too.  It goes without saying that I’m more than honored to be invited over today!  I’ve always loved fashion and look forward to times when I can dress up a little more.  Most days though, I keep it pretty simple and stick with basics that can be either dressed up or down.  I usually start with my favorite skinny jeans topped with a pretty blouse.  Then I like to add a fun pair of shoes/boots and a statement necklace to spice things up.

Classic * Simple * Preppy
Here is a mood board that I put together.  I think this really crosses over into my fashion style of mostly neutrals with bits of color and sparkle.  Traditional with the tiniest touch of modern I suppose.
Here is the more casual side of me.  Thank goodness for my trusty pea-coat and rain boots, because I have reached for them over and over this winter.

  4. Rene – I love your style! What is your favorite blouse that can be worn with skinny jeans? I like my blouses a little longer to be worn like that, but since I'm tall it's hard to find a good length sometimes!

  6. I just love Rene and her blog! She is wonderful and I can tell by the way she writes and crafts her posts that she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside! She has a beautiful family and you can tell they are her pride and joy. I read this post about Rene this morning before I went to work, and I immediately got my outfit inspiration for the day! Her Fashion Snapshot is mine too!

  7. I, too, love Rene. She is beautiful and I agree with Mary-Irene, on the inside and out. She's so genuine. It's hard to believe she'll be having one of her sons headed to college soon. I need her beauty secrets! Lovely home and a lovely blog.
