What’s Your Fashion Snapshot, Honey We’re Home?

February 18, 2014 by Courtney 21 Comments

It’s Tuesday which means it’s Fashion Snapshot day! I love these days. I have asked some wonderfully talented bloggers to share with us their fashion sense and to describe it in three words. Once they have done that, they also reflect on their own design choices in the home and design a space. It is always so fascinating to see how fashion and the home so often times mirror one another. In fact, if you are having trouble pulling together you own home, think about your favorite looks and about the three words that best describe your fashion sense. That could very well be a launching point when trying to pinpoint your own style. With so many outside design influences these days, it’s often easy to lose track of what really is you.

Today I am happy to introduce a very dear friend of mine. While we met via our blogs three years ago, our friendship has grown immensely and I can’t imagine my life without Megan in it. She is kind, giving, talented and just a beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Take it away, Megan!

…

Hi friends!  I’m Megan from Honey We’re Home.  I have an equal love of fashion and home decor and do find that what you like in one area tends to carry over into the other.  When I think of my fashion sense, I always feel that I’m not as stylish as I wish I was since I’m not very good at pairing patterns or color.  Most of my closet is filled with white, black, grey and tan but I’m trying to figure out what color looks good on me.  As I surveyed my iPhone snapshots, I realize that I almost always wear solids with a necklace or stack of bracelets.  I really am a jeans and a t-shirt girl, but I like the tee shirt to be stylish and fit nicely. And since I’m so short (5’1), I love my wedges. I need all the help I can get!

jeans // tee (similar) // shoes // necklace
The three words I’d use to describe my style would be
SIMPLE, CASUAL and FLIRTY
Although I don’t typically wear a lot of patterns or color, I love some fun jewelry!
My design mood board is also similar- solids and neutrals, but with a little gold glam thrown in.

Thanks for having me Court!

So adorable. Megan has an incredibly beautiful home. I am enamored with her newly painted stripes as well as her closet. Not too mention her enviable jewelry collection. The girl has an eye and is so great and styling her vignettes throughout her home.

Love this new series! Megan's style is similar to mine (I wear a lot of plain, not patterened clothes as well) and her mood board looks very similar to our living room in our home. Love her home!!

Megan is beautiful with a great fashion style and a gorgeous home! That mint tee is really pretty on her with her beautiful blond hair. I have to say Megan inspires me to work out more often than I do!! Such a fun series!

Hi Court and Megan! I have to post a comment because Court is one of my dearest closest friends who I depend for everything BIG or small and we've been together before our husbands and kids entered our lives! I've been following Courtney's blog since Day 1 and found Megan's blog years back! I never post comments but just want to shout out Hello to tell all of you bloggers that there are non-blogger fans out there too! I'm a huge fan Megan! Love your two blogs, style and all you do! I have absolutely no creative talent (courtney will wholeheartedly concur!) but love new ideas for home and style that are practical and easy. Granted, I may not do many DIY, but all of your lovely ideas give me some direction at home! cheers to you ladies! XOXXO And I know that I speak for a large group of us that rarely comment but also follow Courtney and Megan and our other favs!
Can't wait to try on my new Express top! 🙂 whoop whoop!!
