Hi friends! I’ve missed you. We spent last week in paradise. And it was all because of my husband. I am turning 40 soon {gulp} and he wanted to celebrate with a vacation {a bucket list type vacation}. While I came up with every excuse of why we should not go to Bora Bora, he stood his ground and drove home the point that life is short. We have weathered many storms in the last few years and this trip was like magic. I have so much to share and will do so soon. My children are on Spring Break this week and my sister is flying in today from Singapore. Needless to say, the blogging will hit full throttle in a few days. But for now, I am snuggling my kiddos as I missed them dearly.
I didn’t believe the water could really look like this. . . and it really is hard to capture on film.
white dress | necklace | wedges | similar clutch | favorite sunglasses
I will wrap up the vacation with a post on what we packed, what we should not have packed and the best tips and tricks we were so happy to know. Hope you’re all enjoying the week. And thank you for your patience as I get caught up on emails and replies on Instagram. And the biggest shout out and thank you to Grandma Sue who took such good care of our children. It was amazing to be able to relax knowing they were loved and cared for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Sue. You were missed this morning. xo
BTW: Huge sale at Loft. Extra 50% off sale items. Love this tank and these boyfriend jeans. Fantastic price. It’s worth taking a look around with that extra 50% off deal.
What an incredible trip! Good for your husband for insisting you take this vacation! Life IS short!

Thanks, Erin. I am so thankful that he always sees the bigger picture. What a relief I listened to him! Life is short indeed. Hope you're having a wonderful week.
That water looks amazing!
Jen . . it was crazy amazing. I am on withdrawals! Happy Tuesday!
Thank you so much for the kind words, but it was both a pleasure and a privilege to care for those adorable grandkiddos! I miss them dearly.????????
We really are so blessed to have you. It's a big trip out and we all appreciated it soooo much. xoxo
Glad you managed to sneak away. Life is too short and the world is too grand not to explore it.
You are so right. It's amazing the perspective we learn as we grow older, right?! {I mean younger}
So, so sweet of your husband! Can't wait for the recap – Bora Bora is on my bucket list too! Enjoy time with your family!
He did well. Anxious to share the photos once I get my act together. I hope you can make it there one day soon. It really is beautiful.
What a special trip your hubby planned! So sweet of him. Your photos are beautiful Courtney. That water is absolutely amazing. Love that white lace dress on you and the other ivory maxi you wore is beautiul. Have a good week settling back in and a wonderful time with your sister! xo
Thank you, Allison. I am so grateful to him. It was a life changing trip. And very happy to be back safe and sound with our little ones. Getting so excited to see you.
So glad you had a safe and enjoyable trip. You deserved it. I had the pleasure of Grady wanting to skype with me. I loved it. And what a baseball swing he has, I am impressed.
Thank you SOOOOO much. He is a cutie and loves interacting with people! We are so proud of our little baseball player! xoxo
Husband of the year!! So glad you went, and had a great time!
That boy did well! Thanks, girlie. So nice to recharge. xo
Beautiful photos and trip. I went to Moorea for my 20th anniversary and stayed in a over water bungalow, talking about paradise!
hey friend! we’re planning our 25th anniversary trip for this summer, and I remembered you went to Bora Bora! I’ve searched all over your blog, do you have a Trip Report, or something with tips on where you stayed, how long, etc? It’s a big investment of time and $$, so would love to hear your thoughts! xo. C
