Winter White + Plaid

November 15, 2016 by Courtney 5 Comments

Winter White! It’s one of my very favorite looks but it’s not always easy to pull together. Sharing pieces that are all great on their own or pulled together for this look. I think this may be my Thanksgiving Day look if I don’t wear a dress.

WINTER WHITE

The trick to pulling of an all white outfit is mixing up different textures. This sleeveless sweater is super soft and has awesome texture. It is an ivory and so are the cords. I love a great pair of cords for winter. These happen to come in ten different colors. I might add the wine color to my wardrobe.

How Do They Fit? These stretch corduroy pants run a bit big. I am normally a 25 in jeans so I went with the size 0 (and I am never a zero). They fit great in the booty and are a bit looser in the leg. Which is actually really pretty with a heel. They are very comfortable and have a bit of a higher waist. Super soft! Hope that helps. I really love the New Ivory color. Really pretty off-white for winter.

This blanket scarf is so soft and has the greatest combination of colors. I like how it is plaid on one side with more of a striped pattern on the other. It adds just enough color and interest to this all white look. It is far cuter in person than the website shows online. Here you can see the plaid side of the scarf.

HANDBAG LOVE

Completely in love with this gray handbag. I have the black and had never seen this color in person. It looks so expensive and the color is gorgeous. I also learned how to fold the strap through the flap to make it shorter (if you already have one of these you know the strap is quite long for a crossbody look). Sometimes it’s fun to shorten it up a bit and throw it over my shoulder. It can also be used as a clutch. Such a great buy at only $39. You can see how I’ve styled my black one here.

Shop the Look

I seriously LOVE this sweater. It is longer and can be worn with leggings. It’s just a really pretty cut. It’s narrow enough to be flattering and the side slits are really cute. The turtleneck folds in instead of out giving it a current look.

LOADS OF TEXTURE

Here you can see the purse is a shorter look because I’ve looped the strap through the fold over of the purse. The blanket scarf is not too heavy and you can fold it over your handbag when not in use. That way it still adds the cute pattern to the outfit, too. You can also see the great texture of the sleeveless sweater here. It fits so well! I am wearing a size 6 (always go up one size in Top Shop).

Here you can see the cute stripes on the other side of the scarf as well as the gold detail and heels on the boots. LOVE wearing these.

COLOR OF THE SEASON

The caramel colored boots are a really great hue to pair with ivory. If you don’t care for heeled boots, these booties would offer a similar look.

This caramel color is just so beautiful for Fall and Winter. I love the warmth of it. And it looks fantastic with white, my favorite dark denim (only $59) and distressed denim. You really can’t go wrong.

I have a sick little one over here so we will be laying low. To be honest, that’s just fine by me. We’ve had a hectic couple of weeks so this mama could use some hibernation time. Laundry and catching up on meal planning sound pretty good to me right about now. That and some cuddling my sweet baby.

Hope you are off to a great start to your week. xo

I love a winter white look but personally avoid it because I don’t think I look good wearing all white 🙂 while you, on the other hand, look positively stunning.

Cute outfit Courtney! I love winter white. Guess I got that from my mom. She always wore pretty winter white outfits this time of the year. The caramel boots are very pretty with the white and also the gray purse and that scarf is beautiful. That will be a nice outfit for Thanksgiving and looks comfortable, too.

Thanks, Allison. I love that you have that memory of your mom. My mom has always like white and had the prettiest ivory dresses when I was growing up. Never realized I must get my love of white from her, too. Have a good afternoon. Thanks for checking on R!

Love that white on white look. The accessories are the perfect way to break up the monochrome!
