Easter week is upon us. How is that even possible. We are hosting on Sunday and suddenly I find myself doing some last-minute prep as per usual. While our table has been set for some time, I just am now figuring out our menu.
You can see our entire Easter table here, but I wanted to give you an update on our new white dishes. I mentioned I finally replaced our chipped set that I’ve had since I graduated from college. It was a big moment in this household! A few of you asked about the Open Table bowls. They are a perfect match. So I bought the dinner and salad plates and stuck with our Open Table bowls. Not sure about your household, but we can be pretty darn picky about our cereal/soup bowls. There is just something about finding the right size and shape. Combining these two sets of dishes was the perfect match for us.

TABLE INSPIRATION
Here is another peek at how I set our table. Nothing too complicated and all I will need to do is buy fresh tulips on Saturday.
Shop The Table
My friend Lucy from Craftberry Bush set such a gorgeous table. I love the idea of individual flowers on each plate. So sweet and simple. Of course the gingham napkins had me at hell.
My other love in life, besides gingham, are stripes so this table made me swoon. I love how clean and simple Sarah styled this. Hoping these tables gives you some ideas if you are still deciding on how to set yours.
EASTER MENU
If you need an amazing potato dish, this is it! It’s always a crowd pleases and our very favorite. Just so good. It makes me hungry looking at it.
My sister and parents will both help out with our Easter Sunday dinner which is such a blessing. Here is what I decided to serve:
APPETIZERS
Bourbon Brie with French Bread Baguette
Cream Cheese & Jalapeño Jam Served with Crackers
Burrata with Tomatoes, Basil and Balsamic Reduction
DINNER
Honey Baked Ham
Summer Salad
Dessert will be a surprise as my sister is brining it. I am so looking forward to spending the day with our family. The menu won’t be too difficult as I can make the potatoes ahead of time. I can also prep the salad before guests arrive. All I will need to worry about when the ham is almost ready are the green beans.
COCKTAIL TIME
If you are looking for a fun and refreshing cocktail to serve, this could be it. Delicious. My sister and her hubby always come up with such amazing cocktails.
FOR THE KIDS
This is one of the cutest ideas I’ve seen in a while. Have a bunch of kiddos coming over for an Easter egg hunt? You don’t have to sugar them up. These eggs are filled with fun and silly tasks that help get the energy out. Genius. Goodness knows there are enough sweet treats on a holiday so this is a fun way to keep the kids moving and active. You can print the tasks here.
Janel over at A Mom’s Take created this darling Easter Egg Checklist. I love the creativity here. I also love the idea that it gives the kids something to focus on and more to do. My wheels are turning. You can really do this for any age!
These are so cute I can’t stand it. My friend Tammy has these ears available to print on her blog. She added them to store bought cupcakes and bam! Instant cuteness! Thank you, Tammy.
EASTER STYLE
As for what we are all wearing. Good question. It sort of depends on the weather but I will most likely wear this dress to Church and then change into something like this to host (styled in this post).
This dress had me at hello and is new to stores. So beautiful. Isn’t it pretty? Great with these heels.
SALE ALERT
A few sales worth mentioning this week:
- Loft: this feminine top. Everything is 40% off. Everything. I have my eye on
- World Market: 20% off outdoor. I just ordered this umbrella!
- Sh0pbop: 20-25% entire order. This dress is so cute.
Hope you all have a really nice Thursday. I am forcing myself to get a lot done around the house and plan for Easter. Our Saturday is packed with sports so I better wrap my head around what needs to get done.
