If you’re anything like me, you wear your favorite things over and over. I have been known to wear the same thing two days in a row if I love the outfit and I am totally cool with that. So I thought I would share my 5 casual & comfy go-to outfits that have been on repeat over here.
NUMBER ONE
sweater | bomber | booties | jeans
This is an outfit I reach for all the time. I love the army green bomber jacket paired with a nice, thick sleeveless sweater. It’s a comfortable look that pretty much works for any outing. These booties, even with the heel, are really comfortable and I can wear them all day long I think this outfit works best when the sweater is longer and you can see it from behind, too.
NUMBER TWO
handbag | tank | jacket | jeans
Hands down my favorite outfit right now. I adore this jacket and like the look of a feminine tank top with the leather jacket. It’s a nice contrast. Sort of like pairing a black moto jacket with a lace top. It just works.I would suggest sizing up in this jacket. I have a small but it’s quite snug in the arms and shoulders. The tassel handbag is such a great color and looks good with almost any outfit. The tassels add just enough detail to make the outfit interesting.
NUMBER THREE
shoes | sweater | t-shirt | denim
I ended up going with a large in this sweater. It runs small and I didn’t want it snug. This one is absolutely darling, too. There is something about the feminine pink sweater paired with distressed jeans that just works. Order one size down in the sneakers. They run large.
NUMBER FOUR
similar boots | ruffled t-shirt | jeans
I am all about contrast. In this outfit, the feminine ruffled t-shirt contrasts well with the rugged boots. These are from a couple of years back but these boots offer a similar look. I still wear these boots all the time. A classic brown, slightly rustic, riding boot will never go out of style. Every girl needs this t-shirt. That is just how I feel about it. You won’t believe how soft it is. I may or may not have ordered it in the lilac.

NUMBER FIVE
vans | sweater | jeans | jeans (these are on sale)
Stripes always look sharp. Literally. So I love how this sweater has a more casual vibe with the faded look of the stripes. This sweater is so soft and looks great with distressed denim. It pairs best with lighter jeans and a casual flat or sneaker. There are more size options for the sweater here.
Hopefully this inspires you to piece together fun outfits for a casual, everyday look. I’ll round-up my 5 go-to date night looks soon.

Thanks, Allison!!! The weather is keeping me in cozy clothes that’s for sure. I hope you all are ok with all of the rain. Do you need to borrow a rowboat or canoe?! LOL. Stay safe and warm.

I’m in love with the faux leather jacket and ivory tank! What a great pairing, I might even add a short strand of ivory pearls with that. Tell me, I’m over 50, but not 60, what do you all think about the ripped jeans for women my age? I’m 5’2″ and 108 lbs. , love fashion, but I never want to appear as if I’m trying to look like I’m 30 years old.

That is my same predicament! Never thought I would wear jeans that look like they should go in the recycle bin, and yet I too want to find a pair that are slightly worn. I am 50 but feel 30. I don’t want to dress like our Mom’s did at 50! ……a slippery slope with opinionated teenager daughters lol

Hi Judy!!! I responded to Megan with my thoughts on this. Truly believe it’s more about how you wear it and carry yourself than what any silly rule might be. Forget the age and wear what you feel fantastic in. And there are so many great options that have very little distressing to get the look without jumping overboard. Have a great week, Judy. Hope you find a pair you love.

Good Morning…..your style is approachable and chic, a unique find. Your blog is easy to read, navigate and yet so pretty to the eye. Would you share the name of the script font you used and how you were able to achieve the Overlay? ( I don’t have a blog, I am just an artist and I am curious) thank you. Ps: do I need to come back to this post to see a Reply? Yes I am that out of touch with Technology, lol. ????

Hi Megan! Thank you for such a kind compliment. I can’t for the life of me remember what font was used but I can look back through emails. A designer helped me put it together. As for the jeans. I firmly believe that age doesn’t matter if you wear it with confidence. I would look for a pair that has minimal distressing. Paired with a pretty sweater or leather jacket, you will look adorable. I think it’s not necessarily what you wear but how you wear it that determines how it comes across. Also love a pair of slightly distressed jeans with a clean white button down. Beautiful at any age. Hope this helps a bit.
