How is everyone doing? Heavy and sad times for everyone. I hope you feel a bit of respite when you stop by the blog. That is what this space has always been about. So happy you are here.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out. We are slowly coming out of the deep freeze of 2026. It has been like nothing I could have imagined. It was frightening, overwhelming, beautiful and devastating. It’s also wonderful to see neighbor helping neighbor. There are still over 200,00 without power and many who can’t leave their homes due to downed trees. We continue to pray and be so grateful for the lineman working around the clock. And may the sun shine down and work it’s magic.

BEST OF THE YEAR

Speaking of magic, this color corrector is incredible. It’s my ride or die. If you have mature skin or dark circles, this is phenomenal. One of these days I should do a before and after. The purple immediately washes away. Just might be my pick of the year! It also sells out all the time, so I buy 2 when I restock. That’s how much I love it.

SILKY SMOOTH

This is a tad pricey so I only recommend it if you have really dry hands or notice they look a bit crepey. This serum has been a miracle worker for my hands. I put a tiny bit on before bed at night. In the winter I apply during the day, too. You will be shocked at how soft it makes your hands. LOVE!!!!! I have a back up bottle in my bathroo vanity for when mine runs out (I don’t want to be without).

This is something I would recommend to anyone. A great travel makeup bag. It’s not too large but holds so many products.

Here it is open . . . I love that it opens flat to see everything. I have skincare on one side and makeup on the other. Brushes in the middle. Truly a great travel bag.

JUST SO GOOD

Trust me on these. They are a great pair of sunglasses. They are extremely lightweight and look good on everyone.

GAME CHANGER

This mop + vacuum is a huge game changer. I should have bought it five years ago but here we are. A few of you said you bought it and are intimidated. Please don’t be. You literally do a cap full of soap + warm water and push power. That’s it and that’s all. Then you dump the dirty water and self clean. I swap the roller and let the one I used dry out.

It cleans my floors far better than anything I’ve ever used and it’s the easiest mop I’ve ever used. 10/10 for sure! I can do our entire first floor in under 25 minutes and the floors look amazing. No back ache and I oddly look forward to using it.

And let’s not forget this little number (currently on sale). While I didn’t purchase it this past year, it remains one of our most used items in this house. We grab it all the time. It’s fantastic for crumbs in the kitchen and a quick run on the stairs. It’s also phenomenal on top of upholstered beds and sofas where dust builds up. Really great for the kids to use (especially as part of their chore list).

This is my go to if friends are dropping by. I do a quick clean up of the counters and use this along the backsplash for crumbs (and on the floor where they always gather).

PILLOW INSERTS AND COVERS

Absolutely LOVE these pillow covers that we used on our bed. They elevated the look of our room but are a reasonable price. We also used these in our beach house in Florida. They are a 10/10. We use these pillows inserts in all of our pillows.

FANTASTIC PILLOWS

These pillows are on sale right now!! They are the pillows with 250K outstanding reviews. We use these on our guest beds and for Riley at school. The only reason I don’t is because I like my pillow almost flat. Crazy, I know. But my guests always rave about these.

MATTRESS COVER

Let’s talk comfy beds. We’ve used this pillow top cover on all of Riley’s dorm beds and I just ordered for our guest room. So comfy. Be sure you wash and dry it first. . .it will fluff up in the dryer. If you want a REALLY comfy mattress pair it with this foam topper (topper goes first).

LIFE SAVERS FOR ANY MOVE

We have used these large bags for all of Riley’s college moves and they are a dream. These are not for flying but if you are driving. I would recommend for any type of moving needs. They hold so much without being over the top gigantic. We use one every time we go visit to toss in anything she is needing or tools/food, etc. And the window for labeling is great. These always sell out towards summer so just plan ahead.

PRO TIP: If using these bags to move into a dorm room, number them in order of how they should be unpacked. When you are in tight quarters and everything is piled up, you will thank me!

TWO FANTASTIC AIR FRYERS

We use this air fryer every single day. It’s fantastic. I truly love it. I make my breakfast that includes diced sweet potatoes and I make them in here in just about ten minutes. I almost always cook our vegetables and potatoes in here. It does everything from bake to reheat and so much more. It’s a dream. Highly recommend. There is a less expensive option below.

ANOTHER GREAT OPTION

This is another wonderful option. It’s toxin free and highly recommended. We just wanted something larger for our family. But Our Place has since come out with three sizes. This is a fantastic option.

WATER GLASSES

As I was working on this post, I reached over to grab my water. I LOVE these vintage embossed glasses. They are elevated just enough to make every day feel special. A great size and weight. We like the look so much we keep them on our open shelves. I bought more to have downstairs in our basement kitchen.

FAUX GREEN STEMS

This set of faux stems is a 10/10 from me. They look so realistic. I LOVE the way the look in any vase. And a great price. The set includes three stems which is all you need for an arrangement.

Adopting these Swedish cloths was a huge game changer. We use them all day long. I use them to clean counters and cabinets (so soft) and other ones to clean dishes. They are 10 times better than sponges (and healthier) because they dry so quickly and do not hold onto moisture and bacteria. I wash them each night in the dishwasher. So easy!!! Plus they are pretty.

CORDLESS SCONCES

We used these cordless sconces in Riley’s apartment and they are absolutely adorable. No wiring required and they have the best warm glow. 10/10

Here is a peek at the sconces in her room. Great for any space you don’t want to hard wire lights.

CEILING FAN

We have three of these fans at the beach house and love them. It’s hard to find a fan that outdated or too bulky. This is a good one.

FASHION FINDS

This sleeveless sweater is a 10/10 Amazon find. I’ve had it for two years now and actually just got it back since my daughter stole it for her senior year. I have it in two colors and it’s just a great fit and style. I always get compliments on it and and every time I wear it Ryan comments, too. It looks more expensive than it is.

Here is a look at it on. It is just a really flattering cut. Love this sweater so much. I will order one for Riley to surprise her!

COZY AND WARM

I bought this fleece jacket recently and wear it all the time. I LOVE it. It’s incredibly soft and sits at a flattering place on the waist. It is very warm, too. You can adjust how tight you want it or let it hang loose. I feel like I am wearing a Lulu jacket when I have it on. So many color options (this is ivory – but it is more like a pretty butter yellow).

I’ve been wearing this watch pretty step counter watch for quite some time now. It’s fantastic for letting you know how many steps you’ve had without being hooked up to an app or device. The last thing I want is more notifications or EMG exposure. It’s pretty and it’s been a game changer for me.

This gingham blouse with ruffle trim is also an Amazon score. I always get compliments on it and it’s currently on sale for $20.

TIMELESS CARDIGAN

This sweater is something I reach for over and over. It’s sooooo soft and looks incredible as a cardigan or draped over your shoulders. Also cute around the waist. This is something I always take when I travel because it is so versatile. Now under $30.

RYAN’S NUMBER ONE PICK

I asked Ryan to tell me his favorite Amazon find from the past year. Have you looked into the benefits of hydrogen water? I hadn’t until my husband started using this. Holy cow. Definitely do your own research but I thought this was a good explanation.

Ryan LOVES this an he is a huge researcher so he did his homework before asking for this particular one for Christmas.

RYAN’S RUNNER UP

This rebounder is actually a pick from both of us. He gets all the credit because it was his idea. I worked a ton on lowering inflammation last year and I do think this played an important part. It’s phenomenal for lymph drainage, mood boost, improves balances, strengthens muscle and bones and is not hard on joints. They have shown that 20 minutes on a rebounder is like walking 10,000 steps. That’s wild. All I know is, it’s easy to incorporate and you don’t need any fancy routines . . .just bounce!
