Bonus Room Progress: Paint Project

January 30, 2012 by Courtney 23 Comments

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We were outside enjoying the 80 degree weather. We even taught our daughter to ride her bike without training wheels. Such a fun and proud moment as parents. And to say we are sore and tired from racing behind her arched over so she wouldn’t fall is a huge understatement! Yowzers. I also started a new project in the bonus room. I decided a great way to lighten up the focal wall would be to use stripes. So the taping has begun and today I am off to grab the paint I need. I will be back at the end of the week to show you the competed project. But for now, this is what we are looking at …………………………………….. painting stripes IMG_7280IMG_7283 Oh, and you can see I switched out the red drapes for white ones. Plan to add some trim or detail of some kind but have yet to stumble upon the right thing. Image (3) one. two. three. And lastly, I received a bevy of emails inquiring about the fabrics I am using for the Just Four Things client. That are among some of my favorites as well. Here are the sources in case you have been eyeing them as well! Just click on the numbers above. happy monday

I have to ask, do you ever *not* have a project going??? I'm always so impressed! I can barely stay on top of the everyday and sometimes can't even bear the thought of adding something else! )c: Loving the white and bright curtains and I am dying to know what you're thinking of to spice them up (c:

Can't wait to see the stripes! I've painted them many times, but never as well as other people do 🙂 Too impatient. I bet yours are perfect!

I love stripes! I have done them a few times in a few places I have lived. I did a argyle pattern once. I will stick to stripes. I can't wait to see the completed project.

Where did you find your white drapes? I'm looking for some 96" white grommet panel drapes and having trouble.
