I normally deck the house out for St. Patrick’s Day. We have a lot of Irish in us {even our kiddos have Irish names} and love the holiday. But with the room makeover going on, we have sort of lost track of time. I figured I better pack more punch with my efforts and go straight to the Easter décor! I clocked some serious hours in the paint department this weekend and sweet talked my way into picking out five or six paint chip cards. I stumbled upon Modern Parents Messy Kids and fell in love with her garland. So clever and so easy! I couldn’t wait to copy her. Look how darling her garland is.
{modern parents messy kids} I definitely could have used all of the tangerine paint chips I had, but needed just a couple of more colors. I only used six cards and have plenty of eggs left over which I plan to use for our Easter table!
I free handed an egg until I was happy with one and then just traced away. It only took about 15 minutes.
This would be fun to do with the older kiddos as well. I was sort of giddy with how pretty and cute the eggs were.
I set our chalkboard sign out on the porch as a spring vignette. But to be honest, I sort of want it back inside where I can enjoy it and look at it!
Oh, and a shout out to my hubby who designed and made this birdhouse with the kids one Saturday morning. They made blueprints and all! Super cute and they are so proud of it. We want to add some color or detail to it but haven’t figured that out yet.
I brought it in to see if we should have it in the house and I caught my son just gazing at it. So cute. He says he wants some eggs in his room, too. Better commission his sister to start cutting them out!

So that’s a little peek into our Easter décor. Come back tomorrow where I am dishing on just how crazy things can be when you redo a room. Time to keep it real, people!!! Enjoy your day.
Great idea! Can't wait to see the room makeover.
It turned out beautiful! I love the pastel colors. Megan
That is so cute! I may have to attempt it, though free-handing the egg gives me anxiety! I have that same chalkboard! What a genius idea!
