{DIY} New Year’s Toasting Glasses

December 30, 2013 by Courtney 8 Comments

With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, we are getting festive around here. We love to dress up and take the kids out. Once we get back, we crank up the music, take part in our New Year’s Dance Party and toast to the new year.  We celebrate early so they can get some sleep. Once they go to be we will enjoy a fun date night in. Speaking of date nights, I have more on that topic later this week! But first up, I wanted to share our setup for when we ring in the new year! Each year, I set up a little area with our four glasses and some type of a banner. This year I reused tassels I made for our Christmas party photo booth. I used only just the gold and silver tassels and was good to go.   2014glasses   2014DIYglasses   To make the numbers, I used my Silhouette. I used it to make these wine glasses as well. It is so easy to print out vinyl cut outs. I love using the silver as it makes the glasses looked etched. tasslels   happynewyearglasses I used the bar cart to set up the glasses and straws. The kids have been looking forward to our special bottle of sparkling apple juice all week! The confetti dot glass that holds the straws is another DIY project. So simple and quick.   toastingglasses   On Friday, I shared the most popular posts according to you all. If you missed that collection you catch up here. But I also wanted to share some of my favorites with you all. At the top of my list was a letter I wrote to our daughter. I also shared much of what grief means to us and our journey with that here. On a lighter note, I posted about my exciting journey to Arizona to film HomeStretch for SheKnows TV.  And lastly, as a way to recap 2013, I wanted to thank Family Circle for the organization article they ran. I was honored to be included amongst many of my dear friends. photo (3) The new year means fresh ideas, fun projects, and some exciting adventures. I am so looking forward to sharing them all with you. Enjoy your day. Come on back tomorrow as I share some thoughts on marriage as well as what I plan to wear for New Year’s Eve!
