I spied an adorable piece of artwork on Pinterest and knew I needed to copy it to add a spring look to our mantel. Here is what I came up with But I can’t take an ounce of credit for this cute piece. It was Midwestern Sewing Girl who dreamt up this darling piece of spring décor. And I am not sure I pulled it off quite like she did but I gave it my best shot! Look how pretty her nests are {it’s harder than it looks!}. I spied this from this pin.
In case you want to copy this as well, here is what I did. The project took only about 30 minutes. 1. Take the photo that comes in your frame and turn in upside down to reveal a white surface. Place on top of the glass. Then measure out where you would like your nests and mark with a pencil.
2. Cut strips of burlap about 8-10 inches long. Place a dot of glue on your pencil dot and press down. Then glue and twist. Glue and twist. I wasn’t so great at this!
3. Glue three Easter jelly beans into one of your nests. Voila! Thanks Midwestern Sewing Girl!!!
