I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. We managed to do everything on our list except for making cupcakes. Instead, the children are proud owners of a new goldfish. It’s our very first pet and my five year old spent most of her weekend sitting and chatting with the fish. She sure had a lot to say! And the cutest thing is that she is so excited about having this fish that she kept saying, “This is so exciting, it’s like I am dreaming.” {We did have the talk about goldfish not having the longest lifespan . . . oh boy, this should be interesting!} …………………………………………………………. In other news that is much more exciting to my readers, I have a fantastic giveaway today! When the lovely people from Black and Decker contacted me about receiving their new Steam-Mop with SmartSelect ™ Technology and giving one to my readers, I was beyond excited. We are still in the spilling milk phase over here and mama can use all the help she can get! And the best part for me is that the pads are washable and reusable. So easy. So now it’s your turn! Would you like one? There is a setting for each type of floor. . . I love the way it cleaned my hardwoods. Check out the mop for yourself and then enter with your comments below.
If you would like to have this lovely steam mop arrive on your doorstep, here are ways you can enter this giveaway. As always, PLEASE LEAVE A SEPARATE COMMENT FOR EACH ENTRY. – Leave a comment letting us know about the biggest mess you ever had to tackle – Like Black & Decker on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/BlackAndDecker – Follow Black & Decker on Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/black_deckerus – Tweet or Facebook about the giveaway with a link to this blog post – Follow A Thoughtful Place Blog – Like A Thoughtful Place Blog on Facebook Good luck, my friends!!! Hi Courtney. My absolute biggest mess is going on my remodeling and cleaning up sheet rock dust. YUCK!!! This would be a great win! Thanks for letting me enter.

The biggest mess I ever had to tackle was when my son had a stomach bug. For some reason, he panics and can't make himself run for the bathroom. He just leaned over the side of his bed and let it fly (EW!). Unfortunately, at the time, he was sleeping in a Captain's Bed, so it was in the frame, in the drawers, on the floor and UNDER the bed. Not a drop on him or the sheets. YUK!

I had a dog with severe anxiety who was fine if she was in her crate. We left the house and forgot to put her in. When we returned we thought we had been robbed! She got into cabinets, trash, knocked over lamps, spread food throughout the house, ate a cushion, and ripped up a ream of paper! It was crazy!
I think the biggest mess I've had is dog-related, not a huge mess, but racked up in quantity.

My two year old opened a new bottle of orange juice by herself and spilled THE WHOLE BOTTLE on the floor! What a mess. I would love the new mop with 3 kids.
Thanks – Jennifer
My biggest mess was a whole carton of milk across the hardwood floor in my kitchen. I would LOVE to win this mop! Thanks for this great giveaway!

Wow, you know you're officially a mommy when you get excited about a mop! Hope I win! I'm a follower of your blog, of course!
The messiest thing I've cleaned up is poop…from a swim diaper. So disgusting!
What a great giveaway!
The mess that comes to mind – one Thanksgiving our dog licked up A LOT of turkey grease from the bottom of the roasting pan (he's a very big dog and was able to get to it even on the counter) and then ended up throwing all of it up on our living room carpet. Grease + vomit = permanent disgusting stain.

Our landlady was to be showing our house in less than an hour and I spilled whiteout all over the kitchen floor. I suppose it wasn't a huge mess, but you can bet I was in panic mode trying to figure out how to get it clean!
Aw, the goldfish story is precious! Did she name it?
Love following your blog in my google reader! The mop would clean up my kitchen so well!
I think the steam is my favorite part – can't wait to see how well that works!
My biggest mess was red Kool-Aide spilled all over our kitchen table and tile floor. Thank goodness for sealed grout!

My worst mess?! My son was carrying a gallon of dark teal paint down our carpeted hall to show someone the color of it.. He tripped over the vacuum. W O R S T mess ever!! on my light gray carpet!!(which was only 2 years old). That was 5 years ago.. Needless to say, paint doesn't totally come out of carpet and we haven't had the money to replace it. We tried EVERYThing, it only has lightened.
Oh yes please! I've been dying for a steam cleaner. And my worst mess? Happened this weekend. And it included dog poop. On my rug. GREAT.
And, of course, I follow A Thoughtful Place 🙂
We once had a pressure cooker explode. I still have flashbacks.
How sweet! I love that she was talking to it. My goldfish lived for 4 years…it was crazy!!!
The biggest mess I've had to clean up was when I broke a glass in the kitchen. Not fun!

The biggest mess I ever had to tackle was when I was pet-sitting for my friend's new puppy, and the little guy was so rambunctious he knocked over one of those huge red bottles of wine I had won at an auction. I had just moved in to my house and the walls had fresh paint, and the tile grout literally finished drying the day before. It took me about 2 days worth of cleaning products to clean it all!

Well, lately the biggest mess was cleaning up the carpet after my 1 yr old took off her (very dirty) diaper while she was playing in her room!
I think the worst mess was when my son dumped cinnamon all over the kitchen. On the positive side, my vacuum smelled great for weeks.
Oh, this would be heaven for our hardwoods!
The biggest (most disgusting) mess I've ever had to clean was in our ALL WHITE kitchen. We came home to find the dog had a cut on her tail and every time she wagged it (which is A LOT when we walk in the door), it whacked up against the cupboards, oven, etc. There was splattered blood from floor to ceiling. It seriously looked like a murder scene. NASTY!
My biggest mess was when our downstairs toilet backed up and over flowed all over the bathroom floor and into the hall. Yuck! I would have loved one of these when that happened.
Hi, the biggest mess I had to clean up recently was when my dog decided to have #2 (and not the solid kind) while I was giving him a bath in the shower. I suppose if it had to happen, that was the best place. 😉
The biggest mess I've had to clean was somehow managing to drop the dish I had just made dinner in while I was taking it out of the oven. Food was all over the oven and the kitchen floor. And dinner was ruined.
This is a great giveaway..I sure could have used it on the biggest mess I had to clean up. Well, my two dogs one night decided (I guess) that they were upset with me (I had family in town and they didn't get their usual run/walk for an hour). So, I went to dinner and came home to two dogs who had ripped open (from our open pantry) a brand new bag of flour, sugar, box of sea salt, and two boxes of pasta. Oh yeah–and they got two packages of muffin mix. Lovely. Literally, crunching occurred when you walked through the whole house….and my navy couches were white. It was awesome. Haha. Took me a good 4 or 5 hours to clean up. I could have really used the black and decker then! I spent the first 30 minutes taking photos of my house because I knew no one would believe how bad it actually was….you should see the pictures….Haha…too funny!
I moved into an apartment and have to clean the ENTIRE apartment including the walls. The wood floors had recently been refinished and there was orange dust on everything! Thankfully it was a small studio apartment and I had help cleaning.

Well, I'm pregnant with my first child so I don't think any mess I've had to deal with has been too bad thus far. So I'm going to have to go with cleaning up an indoor plant that my lovely cat decided to knock over while I was at work one day, onto the beige carpet in our old apartment. Nothing like wet, black, potting soil all over the carpet!
I think my biggest mess was my toddler who dropped and broke an entire jar of jelly all over the kitchen floor! Luckily, he wasn't hurt…but the glass and jelly was a pain to clean up.

I don't think my biggest mess could be touched by this amazing mop. It was awful! I had a thing of puff paint open trying to decorate an ornament for my kids in my classroom. I had all of Christmas decorations up in my living room, and I had just bought a new PB slipcover for my couch. One squeeze too hard on the bottle, and it exploded!!! It was all over my rug, my slipcover, my Christmas tree, my coffee table, and my floor. Freak out is an understatement!

The biggest mess I've ever had to clean up… well, I don't have kids yet so I've probably got a lot more messes to clean in the future. So far the worst has been a few disgusting puppy messes. I'll refrain from being too descriptive 🙂
With an 18 month old little boy running around sometimes I don't even want to know what I am scrubbing off the floor!

Betta fish are great, seem to last a long time and require minimal care. The boys love ours! I just thought I would pass along the information in case you suddenly find you need a replacement for dear mr. goldfish.
Oh my gosh, the biggest mess I ever had to clean up was when I was making a soup. I had peeled carrots and potatoes and turned on the garbage disposal. Well. . . . I didn't know at the time that starch was not good for the disposal, so I was feeding away when it had finally had enough! I had ground peels all over the kitchen and down the hallway from the ceiling to the floor and everywhere in between! We had a house guest, neither of us knew where to start, so I started cleaning and our friend opened a bottle of wine! What a mess I had!
Remodeling is always the worst… not matter what you do, the stuff ends up everywhere!

Last Friday when my daughter decided to throw up all over me, the kitchen and the living room!
My biggest mess was when we had a small kitchen fire…ugh. Everything was okay in the end!
my biggest mess is probably the yogurt mess my 2 yr old daughter makes every time she eats it. This girl gets in in places I didn't know were possible. Seriously, how does it get between your toes and in your ear along with underneath the chair you sit in.
Anyway, thanks for the opportunity!
Oh yeah — I could give that mop the workout of it's life!!! Great giveaway!
The biggest (worst) mess I've ever had to clean up was a giant bottle of ketchup on the wood floor. My son dropped it accidentally when helping me carry groceries inside. Ever tried to clean up ketchup? It just smears.

It's hard to pick just one mess that I've had to clean up. I guess it would be cleaning out the house that we purchased prior to ever being able to move in. There were so many piles of things left behind that it took a few days before we could even think about moving in.

My biggest mess (and I'm still cleaning after 2yrs!) is painting and installing wood flooring. I'm still trying to scrap out the paint from the floor and there seems to be leftover dust everywhere still!
The biggest mess I've had to clean up was when my mom was helping me make plum jelly. She hung the cheesecloth with all the plums from the handles of my cupboards in the kitchen, but the handle that she used didn't hold. He whole bag of cheesecloth and plums splashed back into the bowl of plums and got juice EVERYWHERE. My kitchen floor was still sticky after mopping it three times!
The biggest mess I've ever had to clean up is a bottle of red wine by then 2 year old broke. Yuck!

Oooh, I think I would like one of those! I'm not sure if it's the BIGGEST mess I've ever had to clean up, but the one that's freshest in my memory is when my 2-year-old walked all over the living room with his brother's cup of milk, shaking it as he went. It was one of those cups with a supposedly non-spill straw. Well, when you shake the thing up and down, milk will come out. There were hundreds, if not thousands, of drops of milk on every surface. Yuck.

I won't into details, but when we brought our puppy home from the rescue, he obviously wasn't housebroken & he had a stomach parasite. Not fun.
Biggest mess, would probably be when my puppy was very young, she got sick everywhere!! She's such a cutie though!!!

Our biggest mess we've had to date is when we tried to move in the snow, we tracked snow and water all over the house which turne dinto thick mud as the night progressed. It took weeks to clean the floors and scrub the mud off the undersides of everything. yuck.
