Halloween Marshmallow Pops

October 19, 2010 by Courtney 27 Comments

This time of year brings many fun parties and play dates. My children and I love making easy Halloween Pops to hand out to our friends. I first saw this idea around the Fourth of July here. I know that there are darling recipes for cake pops as well, but as I have admitted before, I am all about the easy, cute recipe. It takes about 10 minutes to make these, five to cool in the fridge, and five to wrap up! My kind of treat.   IMG_7405 What you will need:

  • large marshmallows
  • candy sticks {small or large}
  • candy melts
  • sprinkles
  • mini candy bags if you choose to wrap them up
  • curling ribbon
  • a cute tin or bucket to put them in {sand to hold them in place}

IMG_6886IMG_6893 Target must really love me because I can’t seem to get out of their dollar section without something I HAVE to have. These little tins are adorable. So many fun things you can do with them for Halloween. IMG_6903IMG_7397 The kids can easily help by putting a stick into each marshmallow. IMG_7418 Simply melt candy according to the directions on the package, dip each marshmallow {rotate to cover all sides} and immediately add sprinkles. I put them back in the pail with sand and stick them in the fridge to harden before covering {about 5 to 10 minutes}. IMG_7419IMG_7420IMG_7428 Did these for the Fourth of July. The sand buckets worked out great. A fun treat to hand out while watching fireworks. IMG_4504IMG_4508IMG_4513   The Halloween Pops would be adorable with good ole’ melted chocolate chips and orange sprinkles, too! Happy Halloween from our home to yours! Linking it Up

    Those are really sweet! How did you make the labels for the 4th of July ones? It's so nice to add the extra touch of personalizing them. I can see these being great party favors at birthdays, etc.

    I made the tags on Microsoft Publisher. They are just printed on normal computer paper. I am big on personalizing when possible. I went to make them for the Halloween pops and my darn printer is out of ink. 🙂 I was thinking they would be cute for party favors as well. You can do so many color combinations with those candy melts. Happy Tuesday, everyone!
