Good morning! So many of you were interested in the games we played for game night so I wanted to quickly get them posted. We were so in the moment the night of that I completely forgot to take photos of each game. But they are all very simple and so easy to pull together. I found most of them online and chose them because they were fun and required very few supplies. A win win this time of year.

HOW WE SET UP THE NIGHT
We played with friends and had 8 people in total. We divided into two teams (drew Team A or B out of a bowl). If you have a large crowd you may want to divide into more teams. Once we chose teams, I had numbers 1-4 in a bowl (you will have more numbers if playing with a great number of people). The number corresponded with the order you compete but we did mix it up as the night went on so we weren’t always facing the same opponent. No strict rules here!!
SCORING
You will want to have a score sheet ( I will try to work on one) that lists the 6 games across the top. Whichever opponent wins during a game, earns 1 point for their team. Simply add up the points at the end.
For every game, two people are competing in a race style format and the winner earns one point. In the event of a tie, we gave each team one point.
WHERE TO PLAY
These games work well on an island or a table. You could also set up a folding table or use a ping pong table.
#1 | TREE STACK

HOW TO PLAY
Place a stack of 21 cups in front of each player. Each player must stack them into a tree formation (starting with 6 cups on the bottom). Once they tree is formed they must then take the cups down to one stack again. The first person to place both hands on the table surface wins.
SUPPLIES
- 21 red cups x 2
SNOWBALL SCOOP

HOW TO PLAY
Players stand across from one another. A paper plate is placed in front of each. They can not touch their plates. Blind fold each player and set a timer for 30 seconds. Whoever scoops up the most snowballs on their plate wins the point. I’ve seen this done where you add dollar bills, too. Could be fun!

SUPPLIES
- 2 spoons or spatulas
- 2 paper plates
- roughly 60 cotton balls (separate them so they are not clumped together)
- 2 blindfolds (we used these sleep masks – delivered same day)
SNOWBALL CATCH

HOW TO PLAY
Set up 12 cups for each player. Place a jumbo marshmallow on each. Race to see who can toss the marshmallow up and catch it in the cup all the way down the line. The person who sets the last cup down first wins the point.

SUPPLIES
- 12 red cups x 2
- 12 marshmallows x 2
PING PONG TOSS

SUPPLIES
- 2 plastic bowls (Dollar Tree has these or use anything from home)
- 20 ping pong balls x 2 (I bought these)
- 2 bags to hold each players ping pong balls

HOW TO PLAY
For this game, you don’t want players across from each other. Tape the bowl to the surface. While players compete at the same time, it’s not a race. Whoever gets the most balls from their bag into the bowl wins the point. The ball must bounce at least once before going into the bowl.
JINGLE BELL RACE

HOW TO PLAY
Line up 12 cups in front of each player. Place a jingle bell on top. You can substitute that for anything around the same size. Using chopsticks, players must pick up the jingle bell and place it in an extra cup. Once they have all 12 bells, they must then reach into their cup and place them all back where they were. The first player to do this wins the point.

SUPPLIES
- 13 cups x 2 (12 lined up and one extra to hold the bells)
- 24 jingle bells (Michaels or the Dollar Tree)
- 2 sets of chopsticks
MARCHING SOLIDER

HOW TO PLAY
Mark off two squares on the ground. These were about 19″ each. Both players compete at once. Set a timer for 60 seconds and whoever marches (high knees) without leaving their square gets a point. We laughed so hard on this one!!!
SUPPLIES
- 2 blindfolds
- blue tape
We had the best time with all of these. They were easy to set up and a blast to play. I got this up rather quickly so if anything is confusing or not quite clear, feel free to ask me below. Happy to answer. Enjoy game night! Can’t wait to hear about it.
*In case you missed it, I shared some really easy recipes in this post.
I love these ideas! It reminds me of what we did for our Covid Halloween. We are a small crew this year and it would be fun to do holiday ones with the family for Christmas.
Thank you so much for all of your ideas…we will be enjoying several of the games over the Christmas season (and throughout the year!). Again, thank you!
