It’s that time again! Time to put your design eye to the test and pick your favorite for our client, Melissa. I have been having such a blast working with her and she is so excited about the room coming together. Let me remind you what her space looks like. You can click here to see last week’s choices.
And after so many of you weighed in last week, the mirror of choice from our readers is Mirror #2.We will see if Melissa went with the same choice very soon.
………………………………………………. the design plan Mirror Drapes Accessorize the Buffet New Chandelier Item Number Two: Drapes Next up are the drapes. Melissa would love to keep things neutral so that she can infuse any color into the space as she entertains or switches up holiday décor. Keep in mind that she will also be replacing the chandelier {most likely in the style of a drum shade} and accessorizing the buffet with lamps {you will get to vote on those next week}. Choice # 1
{half price drapes jakarta drapes} Choice #2
{martha & ash striped panel in charcoal and creamy white} Both are bold and will bring a strong element to the room while still remaining neutral. But the big question is Option 1 or Option 2? Which one would you choose for our client?
#2!! Ooooh I LOVE block stripes. They're more casula feeling but still really pulled together. I'm getting excited to see the reveal!
This is a hard one. I love both choices but am trying to decide which would go better in that space. I think my choice would be #1.
LOVE the stripes! #2!
I prefer the striped drapes (#2). I think they add a little modern edge. This is such a fun series!
Love choice 2, I think 1 is nice but the pattern would either drive you mad or get unnoticed very quickly
# 1 🙂
Love option number 2!!
I'm a sucker for stripes so I vote stripes!
Both are beautiful, but I choose option #2! Stripes get me every time!! And I love the charcoal color in that option! How fun! 🙂
Oooo I love the striped panels! Classy with a little edge.
I love the fabric of #1, but considering the mirror choice, it makes me lean towards #2. So I pick #2!!
#2! Love the bold stripes!
Oh – LOVE choice #2. Can't go wrong with stripes!
Option 2!
Love 2!!
I like option 2 but either of these would look great!
#2 all the way!
Option #2 – love the stripes!
I am a HUGE fan of the striped curtains!! Definitely my choice!!
I can't say no to stripes, #2!
Both are beautiful, but the stripes are striking! #2!
#2 for sure!
I really want to say #1 (just because it's the underdog and I really like that they are a mostly white drape)…but dang it if I just love me a bold stripe! Dang you and your addictive powers, stripes!
Option #2! This really is SO fun!
That is a tough choice. I am leaning towards #1. I love both but think #1 is a little "lighter" looking…if that makes sense. Either way will be a great choice. I can't wait to see the outcome!
I love #2! Those bold stripes are great!
love them both…but if the chandy is going to be a drum shade, and then 2 shades on the buffet lamps, I think the room will need something feminine, and the lines of #1 fit that bill.
Love the stripes. Option #2 for sure.
Absolutely #2!!!!!!!
I say #1 for sure- even though I'm in the minority! That is exactly what I originally had in mind for my dining room. I never even heard of half-priced drapes! Thanks for the info!
Stripes are the obvious (safer?) choice usually so I would go with #1. Also, there are already a lot of linear elements in the space..the window trims, chair rail, column and obviously the table and buffet..one needs to add more pattern for interest..#1 also looks like lighter fabric and it is pretty.
I love the stripes, but I am going to have to go with #1 for this room!
Choice #1. I think that this pattern would enhance the ceiling height, bringing in the feeling of more height.
I love the stripes but I think that it could stunt the ceiling height.
#1 – need something to break up all the lines in the room. Add a touch of excitement/energy.

I love both. I think if I were picking for me, I would pick option 2 because patterns scare me. But, I love option 1, and if she is bold enough (and not a chicken like me) she should do option 1.
First, what a fun series and second, both choices for draperies are fabulous! Much as I love the stripes, I would go for option #1 to infuse the space with an organic element and soften the hard edges. Can't wait to see where this goes!
