Good morning, my friends. Are you all well-rested after an extra hour of sleep? I am not exactly hitting the ground running. Definitely dragging despite that extra sleep. We are finally enjoying much cooler temperatures so it’s so conducive to snuggling in bed. Our Monday Morning Wrap-Up is all over the place so let’s jump in with what we’ve been up to lately.
LADIES WHO LUNCH
My mom and I spent Friday together and part of that time we browsed the Christmas decor at Michaels. She loves seeing all of the beautiful decorations and it’s a nice time to really just enjoy and take in all of the fun new finds. I am definitely a traditional girl when it comes to holiday decor but I couldn’t get over this boho chic line. So darling. I can imagine these cute pieces in a little girl’s room or a playroom.
Aren’t these darling? They did a great job this year with this line. So if you need a little bit of boho color in your decor this year, Michaels has you covered.
WEEKEND UNIFORM
pajamas (this year’s version) | cardigan | mug | t-shirt
I definitely hit a wall Friday night. While the boys were at a the Ducks hockey game, the girls were in pajamas ready for movie night. And it’s safe to say I was in pajamas with hot tea by 6:45 pm! It was glorious. Despite not feeling well for the past few days, it did feel really nice to just relax and simmer down a bit. And I will take any chance I can get to have one on one time with my children.
YAY FOR CHIP & JOANNA
Saturday morning was a big day! I had planned to get up and hit the store in person but with my cold keeping me down, I shopped the new Hearth & Hand with Magnolia line from the coziness of my bed. When Target collaborates with your favorite couple, Chip & Joanna Gaines, it’s a very good day. What a beautiful collection. I am embarrassed to say I had three separate shipments because I kept adding items. But the prices are so good! I was extremely impressed with not only the price point but the cohesiveness of the collection.
Shop Hearth & Hand
These are some of my favorites and items I bought. I also fell in love with this Letters to Santa box and this dollhouse. If only my little girl were still wanting doll houses! So darn cute. I am quite certain that Santa would have delivered this to our babies a few years ago. Both of our Grandfathers were builders and it runs through our veins.
OFF TO HOCKEY
I did manage to get out of bed at hit my son’s hockey game with my girl. The medicine ball tea is my go-to when I am down and out. Between you and me, I wanted to lay down on the bleachers but I love that the hockey games are only an hour! And I can’t miss my boy play. He LOVES it and it’s so fun to watch. And this girl is pure joy. I wish you could have seen her lip syncing in the car the entire drive. She has some serious spunk and always puts a smile on my face.
CARPOOL UNIFORM
sneakers | lounge pants | cardigan | t-shirt
Just FYI these darling sneakers are on sale for under $60. They are so soft and comfy. Suddenly my everyday carpool mom uniform looks much more chic. I really do live in this outfit most of the week.
FOOTBALL WEEKEND
The rest of the weekend was spent back on the sofa watching football. Can’t complain one bit! Go Irish!
COZY SPOT
We’ve been enjoying rain the last few days which has been such a welcome change. Sitting out on our porch is definitely my happy place. And our mums are still going strong. Not quite sure why as I kill any plant within arm’s distance. Just got lucky with these.
BLOG IMPROVEMENT
Lastly, I created an update in my Instagram profile that is designed to make things much easier for all of you. I often receive questions about things I have posted. It’s often hard to find things once they disappear from the current post or from my Instagram stories. So now you can click on the link in my profile to see an organized, easy to navigate menu.
When you click on my link, this will pop up (sometimes it asks if you want to go to this page). It also includes a quick link to all of my recipes and contact information. If you click on “My Blog” it will take you to the current blog post. You can also find many of the pieces I have in my own home and style finds I am currently wearing in the “Style & Home Finds” link. Tomorrow I will be adding my “Holiday Gift Guide” link! Please let me know if you like this and if it helps navigate the content on my blog and Instagram.
In recipe news, I have had a handful of you reach out and let me know you’ve tried this recipe lately and loved it. Always so nice to hear. I am making them this week for my family, too.
So I am hoping and praying to get out of bed today. If not, I will be trying to get more of my holiday gift guides wrapped up. The first one is coming your way tomorrow! Now, I need to see about some laundry piling up. Make it a great day, friends.
*It is not lost on me that while most of us went about our very mundane weekends, lives were shattered in Texas. I can’t begin to imagine the loss and devastation. We continue to pray for this nation and each individual who is affected by this tragic event.

I really hope you are on the mend, it sounds like you have been hit with a doozy of a virus! My kids and I all got something similar back in October and it was brutal! I hate being sick and am very impatient with recovery! I was also very excited about Hearth & Hand, but I live in Canada-the land of no Target????! Sunday morning I got up at the crack of dawn, thank you time change, and drove across the border to WA. I am lucky because I live in Vancouver and can be at Target within an hour. Anyway, I was at the store at 7:15am! There was a small crowd of other die-hard Chip and Jo Jo lovers which was fun, but by 8am the aisle was packed! I’m so glad I went early! I got some goooood stuff and am sharing it on my blog today! You are right, the stuff was so affordable, it made it really hard to control myself!
I hope you feel better soon! Rest really is the only way to get better but it is so hard for us mamas! Sending you healing vibes❤️
