Monday morning sure came quick! These weekends fly by. We had a nice mix of getting out and about and getting things done around the house. I’ve reached the point where I need the messes and the Christmas decor boxes to be gone and just enjoy a decorated, picked up house. Hoping to get to that point today.
CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY
My husband asked for a bbq this year and we’ve been going back and forth on whether to do a griddle or grill. He has a smoker (which he makes the most amazing meats and veggies with). But he really wanted something to put on this deck (right off our kitchen/dining area). We ended up going with a griddle and he tried it our for the first time last night. He LOVES it. It will take a bit to test out how things cook, but he is a huge fan. Last night he made smash burgers with grilled onions, mushrooms and peppers and he could do it all out there.
Costco is where we bought ours (also available here) and because it’s not a covered deck, we ordered this cover to protect it in the rain and keep it clean.
BEAUTIFUL SKIES
Last night when he was cooking outside this was the sunset view. Always a reminder to stop and take it all in. God’s artwork, no doubt.
TREE LIGHTING
This weekend we attended the Franklin tree lighting. It’s become such a fun tradition. Love seeing everyone gathered in the streets to sing Christmas carols and kick off the season.
GREAT GIFT IDEA
This book is a beautiful gift idea. My son gets all of the credit. He loves watches and bought this book for himself. It really is so well done and fascinating. It tells the story of the iconic watches and who wore them. This is the actual cover but it does come with a sleeve which is why it looks different online.
SHERPA JACKET
This coat arrived and I just love it. Wore it to the hockey rink this weekend. It’s a little less puffy than this Amazon coat. I would say it may not be quite as warm as the original but it kept me warm at the rink. I love the sherpa on the front and back. I went down one size to an XS and could still wear a sweater under it. Having said that, it’s a bit more snug at the hips (but you can unzip the sides). Maybe stick to your normal size unless you want it a bit more snug.
I’ve had these sunglasses for a few years now and absolutely love them. They would be a great gift idea ($65).
DARLING GIFT WRAP OPTIONS
For as long as I can remember I have been using coordinating patterns to wrap Christmas gifts. I usually find them at HomeGoods. But this set is available on Amazon and has such great reviews. So pretty.
If you love a more traditional set, this one is perfect. Nothing more classic than tartan plaid, buffalo check and toile.
What is on your agenda for this Monday morning? After I get some work done, I have a long to-do list of errands to run as well as meal planning. Plus it’s hitting me I really need to get a handle on Christmas shopping. Three weeks, my friends. Three weeks! Wishing you a great start to your week.

Our grill recently died (RIP Weber), but we got a good 20 years out of it with a TON of use. We will be buying another soon! Can you tell more about the jeans you are wearing in the picture with the sherpa coat? They are cute!
