Good morning. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was emotional, busy and one to remember. We officially kicked off the graduation festivities with Baccalaureate and it had me in tears the entire time. Such a phenomenal group of seniors and we feel so lucky to be experiencing all of these milestones with our daughter. Another big week ahead and so looking forward to welcoming my sister and her husband. Here is a look back with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.
OUR SON’S 16th
Our son turned 16 this past week. He was right in the middle of AP exams so we stretched out the celebration which was even more fun. I blinked and my children grew up. He is such a joy to be around and wise beyond his years. So grateful to be his mom.
*This balloon pump is a dream when it comes to celebrating birthdays. Our rug is currently on sale.
GOD’S BEAUTY
These tree lined streets get me every time. There is something so beautiful about the canopies and I tear up every time I drive through them.
LAST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL
And these darling girls wrapped up their senior year. Nothing like a sleepover and giggling over breakfast to mark the very last day.
PEACEFUL EVENINGS
My husband and I have been sneaking in date evenings as much as possible. I think it helps us slow down and appreciate this busy season rather than fly through it. And because we are old, we love to go out early in the evening and come back for sunset. A few of you have asked about our hot tub and if we have like it. It was a GREAT decision for us. I wrote about why we switched from putting in a pool to doing an above ground hot tub in this post.
BRING ON THE COLOR
We also hit up the nursery in hopes of adding color to our front yard. It’s safe to say that all things landscape and plants are not our cup of tea. Not a green thumb in sight over her so wish us luck. We consistently walk our neighborhood and marvel at other yards. “The grass is always greener” takes on new meaning when you own a home and can’t seem to dial in the yard. Truly the grass is always greener for our neighbors. And to that I say, “Well done, neighbors, well done.”
SUMMER FUN
Stumbled upon some really cute finds for summer. And nice price points, too.
- straw handbag – darn cute, under $30
- floral swimsuit – fantastic reviews, 50% off
- sunglasses – I’ve been wearing these, under $15
- white sundress – such a classic look
- striped dress – on my wishlist for sure, 50% off
- denim – top and bottom (looks like a high end Madewell set)
A few of you asked me about this bed. Yes, it’s still 20% off which is great. A best seller with fantastic reviews. It has a nice high headboard which is what I look for. We ordered it in the Classic Talc Linen but the Zuma White Textured is also very popular. It really does look like a high end bed without the cost.
I’ve taken a break from my newsletter (until June) so I can be fully present with the kids. But when I return I have some fun news to share. You are welcome to join our community if you haven’t already.
Big week ahead so we are off and running. Can’t wait to celebrate our girl and her friends. Plus welcoming in my sister feels like Christmas morning. Wishing you all a great week as school begins to wrap up and you are juggling all of the things. Thank you for taking a moment to be here.
