Happy Labor Day weekend! I hope you are doing something fun today. Truth be told, we were so focused on getting Riley off to school last weekend that we didn’t even really think about this one. So we have stayed close to home, watched football, gotten together with friends, and just relaxed. It’s been lovely and a nice moment to exhale. I wanted to pop in today to share a bit of life lately and say hello.
GLORIOUS WEATHER

We have been living outside lately because the weather has been glorious. These cool and mild evenings have been wonderful. Almost time to use the fire pit again!
HIKING TRAILS

With the humidity being gone, the hiking is back. We love to hike Smith Park. So many beautiful trails.

Being outdoors amidst these trees one of my favorite places ever. It’s just good for the soul and the nervous system. Are you big on hiking?
A GREAT FAUX FLOWER

These vintage hydrangeas are beautiful in person. I highly recommend. The colors are so lovely. I always recommend using a steamer for a few seconds once they arrive. They can be a bit smashed from the box and that helps to relax them.
TIME WITH MY BOY

I had a date day with my son the other day. Love one on one time with him. We went to dinner and then the record store in The Factory. He picked up a fun jazz album which I love. I’m going to need this senior year to slow down so I will take all of the quality time with him that I can.
DATE NIGHT

Ryan and I had the best evening out the other day because the weather was dreamy. If you are ever in the Franklin area, this spot is really fun because you can sit up on the roof. There are a handful of restaurants, Jeni’s ice cream and fun shops. Such a fun place to walk around with the family. And if you have young children, there is plenty of green space for them to run around.
TIME TO REFLECT

We ended up over at Perry’s which is a favorite of ours. I rarely drink these days but it was nice to enjoy a glass of wine and catch up on all of life’s craziness lately. I think anytime you send one of your children off to school, you need a good minute to reflect, exhale, and process. Plus date nights are our favorite.
GAME WATCH DIP

We watched plenty of football this weekend! So fun to be in full swing with that. Although not quite the outcome we wanted for our Fighting Irish. But this dip is a win. So easy. Blend cottage cheese, juice of one lime, pinch of sea salt and about a tablespoon of Frank’s Red Hot. Serve with veggies and sweet potato chips. Delicious and packed with protein.
*If you don’t love cottage cheese, like me, you’ll never even taste it!
RED LIGHT THERAPY SALE

I think this might be the largest discount I have seen with the Lumebox. It’s currently 45% off. We use ours all the time. The research on the benefits of red light therapy is impressive and continues to grow. Do you use it in your household? We grab this instead of ibuprofen or motrin for aches, strains, back pain, cramps, headaches, etc. It’s been part of my wellness regimen with my back pain as well. It’s my go to for inflammation.

It’s also great for complexion, anti aging, acne and fine lines. I need all the help I can get in the fine lines department. I also use it for cramps and pelvic pain. Consistency is key and it’s very easy to use – treatment time is ten minutes. It’s an investment but one the whole family can use and it’s 45% off right now. The stand is also 45% off making it $33!
If you missed my Saturday Shopping post, you can get caught up here. So many great Labor Day Sales. Enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for stopping in.
