Monday Morning Wrap Up

October 6, 2025 by Courtney 3 Comments

Good morning. How was your weekend? We woke up to a bit of rainy and cloud cover so it definitely feels like fall. And with fall break here, we are excited to enjoy a slower pace this week. As the week goes on, I’ll be sharing a few things that I think are worth it from all of the big sales happening. Here is peek at life lately with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.

NOLENSVILLE FEED MILL

feed mill

If you live in the area, Nolensville Feed Mill is wonderful. It’s family owned and operated and has the best selection of fresh foods, sourdough, treats, baked goods, jams and so much more. Also a nice spot to pick up lunch and enjoy the picnic tables outside. They have a great selection of pumpkins. We try to support our local farmers here in the area.

HEADED TO OUR PORCH

pumpkins

These beauties came home with us. You should have seen me trying to arrange these on our steps. Now I see why people get paid the big bucks to design pumpkin porches. It really is an art form.

MORNING WALKS

morning walk

This walk is one of our favorites and always yields 7,500 steps which is great. It’s just so peaceful and I love seeing the leaves start to change. We love college football Saturdays but it’s a lot of sitting. . . a long walk before we cheer on our teams always feels good. Plus I am a huge believer in getting out in nature. It does wonders for my mood.

GRATEFUL HEART

garden

A dear friend blessed us with a basket of home grown goodies. Incredible. We enjoyed them all week.

FRESH PESTO

pesto

Just last night I made fresh pesto with the basil and will make a homemade tomato soup tonight. Really hoping we can follow in her footsteps. Nothing better than fresh herbs and veggies straight from the garden.

  • 2 cups of basil
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup toasted pine nuts
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • pinch of sea salt
  • cracked black pepper

Mix basil, pine nuts, garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a blender. Then slowly add in the olive oil until you reach your desired consistency.

JUST SO GOOD

walmart dishes

I shared these Walmart finds on Instagram. They are so good, my friend. The wood cake stand (which I am using for the fresh veggies right now) is beautiful and only $17. This would be a wonderful hostess gift during the holiday season. The fluted bowls are gorgeous. They are a pretty antique cream and look high end. The set of 3 is $25. Such a steal.

DOWNTOWN DATE NIGHT

hester and cook

Date night in Downtown Franklin is the best this time of the year. The weather is beautiful and we love wandering through the shops. Hester & Cook is a must (especially upstairs if you like entertaining).

red pony

Red Pony is always a nice spot to grab a cocktail and appetizer. Love the ambiance – the upstairs is lovely as well.

GARLANDS FOR UNDER $30

The 9′ Amazon Norfolk Pine garland is $26 with the coupon today! That is incredible. I’ve linked the garland and the velvet ribbon here.

Studio McGee launched their new line for the holidays and it’s really good. So warm and inviting. Love the traditional vibes. You can shop it all here.

I’ve had my eye on this wet/dry mop and vacuum forever!!! It’s $100 off with circle week. It’s usually $279 and is now $169. I clean my own home and I think I need this for my wood floors. It takes me way too long to dust, vacuum and mop my floors.

Make it a great, Monday! If you missed this week’s Saturday Shopping, it was a fun one.

I have the Tineco wet/dry vac and do really like it. I’m more likely to actually mop given that I don’t have to vacuum /dust first. It does a great job. I wish the battery lasted a bit longer, but it charges quickly and I’ve gotten into a routine where I do certain rooms one day and the rest another day. I let the Roborock robot do the daily touch ups. 🙂
