Monday Morning Wrap Up

December 29, 2025 by Courtney 3 Comments

Good morning! We woke up to a 30° morning. Nice and chilly, that’s for sure. Easing back into the week after a really lovely Christmas. I hope you enjoyed the time with your families. We have savored every minute of being under the same roof. In fact, we canceled a vacation because everyone was happy to just be cozy at home. Here is a recap with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.

FAMILY TIME

gingerbread house

One of our favorite December activities is building our gingerbread houses. This year we used white beans and cereal for a more natural look. It’s just always so fun to see what everyone comes up with.

IN-N-OUT BURGER

in n out

I’m sure you’ve heard, but Tennessee now has In-N-Out. Our kids requested it and it was so much fun. The weather was lovely so we were able to sit outside. My mom introduced dipping french fries in a shake to the kids, so of course we had to continue that tradition!

NON STOP PUZZLES

puzzle

We have had a puzzle out on the island non-stop and it’s been great. Every time I look over someone is there working on it. Have you been puzzling, too? We have really slowed down this break and it’s been such a gift. Less is so much more right now.

CHRISTMAS EVE

The Christmas Eve sky was such a gift. It was so beautiful.

Always love catching the moment after Santa comes and the house is dark and quiet. Without fail, we are taken back to when the kids were little and so excited. The time flies by so quickly. I can’t believe my baby will by 18 this year. How did that happen?

ALMOST FORGOT

I meant to set our Christmas table with these poppers but forgot. We were just about done with dinner when Ryan reminded me! So glad he did. If you are local, Hester & Cook is the spot to buy these. Such great quality and each came with a paper ornament, confetti, a gold crown and a thought provoking question when was really fun.

YEARLY TRADITION

v modern

We adopted the tradition of going out to dinner in Downtown Nashville on Christmas Eve Eve. It’s much more quiet and has been a fun night to go out. We loved V Modern Italian. Fantastic food, vibe and service. This is one of my favorite nights of the year.

FROM OUR HOME TO YOURS

And from our home to yours, wishing your family a healthy and prosperous year ahead. Grateful for this little family of mine and all of the time we’ve had together this break.

NEW AT TARGET

studio mcgee

Have you seen the new line from Studio McGee at Target? My favorite pieces are the ones show above. Especially the pretty scalloped basket. You can shop the new line here.

ADORABLE DRESS

This adorable sweater dress caught my eye. It’s currently on sale and so pretty. Love it with the booties.

WANTING TO EARN IN 2026?

I’ve had some really heartfelt conversations with some of you in DMs about how it would feel to earn a little bit of extra money each month. And many of you have set that as a goal this year. Whether it’s to help your family or to save for something significant, it got me thinking about a way that you can do that without joining a company, adding yourself to a team, or committing to work outside of the house. You definitely don’t have to have a large following or be an influencer to join Shop My nor do you need to be approved. It’s simply a platform where you can curate and collect links to things you love. When you share the link you can earn a commission. This is an example of what mine looks like.

The beautiful part of this is that your friends value your opinion. If you share something you have in your home or closet, you are able to link it in your story or anywhere that fits your social media preferences. That’s all there is to it.

If you have been flirting with wanting to jump on board, I am here to cheer you on. I am also happy to answer any questions. If you are interested in joining Shop My you can do that here. Here’s to making extra money in 2026.

If you missed this week’s Saturday Shopping you can read that here. I hope it’s a great start to your week. And if you have college kids home, enjoy every moment. I know it’s a delicate dance of honoring their independence and wanting to just be in their presence. You are not alone with the tug of war.

The puzzle reminds me of Fall Conference’s at the elementary school I worked at. The office staff always had a Christmas puzzle on the counter for people to work on when they had free time in their schedule.
