Happy Monday. I hope you had a really wonderful weekend. We are grateful for a holiday and slow start to the week. We were away most of the week so it feels nice to have a day to get organized and set for the days ahead. Here is a peek at life lately with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.
SENIOR NIGHT

Last Monday was senior night for our hockey players. It was so incredibly emotional. It’s almost impossible to think our boy is a senior and his hockey days are winding down. It’s been such a beautiful part of our lives and we feel really grateful to have had a front row seat to watch him play all of these years. From the age of 9 this has been his passion and we have loved every minute . . . even the cold, stinky arenas (hockey moms, you feel me).
A BEACH GETAWAY

With senior night in the books and our daughter back to school, it was a nice time for Ryan and I to sneak away to our favorite place. Plus we had some things we wanted to do in the house. There is something really magical about 30A Florida during the off season. We love it year round, but the winter is quite and cozy and we can fully decompress. No reservations necessary for the restaurants and it’s a breeze getting around.

This is a little peek into Seaside. It has wonderful restaurants and shops. We always enjoy walking around and having lunch at Bud and Alley’s (you can beat the gorgeous gulf views).

If you have never been to Rosemary, it’s so charming. Old world feel and this is the only hotel in town.
A TRUE EXHALE

Yes, it’s definitely sweatshirt weather in the winter but we love that. We take a blanket down to the beach and enjoy sunset. Two of the three nights we had the beach to ourselves.

No edits, no filters. . . just God’s stunning artwork on display.
OKU

Oku is one of our favorite restaurants when we are in town. The food is fantastic and so is the service. And these restrooms are adorable!

Right before we hit the road to come home, we walked to the beach and this was the view. It could not have been more stunning. The color of the water took our breath away. Really so thankful for this time with Ryan and a chance to decompress after a hectic holiday season and getting Riley settled in her new environment. As parents we have so much on our minds all of the time and I think it’s really important to take a moment, if possible, to relax and unwind.
HOCKEY/SPORTS MOM QUESTION
Now that we are back I am hitting the ground running with the hockey banquet. I am in charge of it this year so if any hockey moms are reading this and have ideas for player gifts I am all ears! Last year we did personalized tape bags and filled them with treats and hockey cards. So looking to do something different.

The place we have is uncluttered and quite peaceful. Every time I come back home I look around and want to toss have of what I own. I really do think I could live in a tiny house one day. Anyone else? If you are interested in checking out the 30A area, our 3 bedroom townhome is a rental and we would love to host you. Always special when readers get to stay.
MEMORY LANE

If you are on Instagram, you have seen the trend about looking back to 2016. What a year it was. I wasn’t going to take part until I looked back at my camera roll. So many milestones happened that year. It was actually quite emotional looking back. If you would like to see the post you can check it out here.
Were any of you around for the boots and scarves era? Gosh, time sure flies. I have loved this journey and feel so grateful for our community.
PHONE STORAGE
On an unrelated note, my phone is basically stuck because I am over the storage limit. I know Lightroom is the issue but I use it to edit all of my photos. Has anyone else had this problem? If you have and you magically fixed it, can you let me know. It’s definitely an issue since I use it for all of my work. I welcome any and all suggestions.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Ryan gave these Mary Janes to me for Christmas and I just started wearing them this past week. I LOVE them. They are remarkably soft and comfortable right out of the box. I will absolutely order another color.

I just noticed that this chocolate raisin color is on sale plus an extra 40% off!! I shared some other great finds in Saturday Shopping.

I distinctly remember my dad quoting from this when I was young. I think I was too young to grasp how powerful these words are. A beautiful reminder for all of us.
Wishing you a really good start to your week. And to any of you who have been here since 2016 I sincerely thank you. You’ve made this journey so special.
Last year, each player in my son’s hockey team received a framed picture of themselves., taken by a sports photographer at one of their tournaments. It was a really nice keepsake for the kids. I hope your team has a wonderful season.
That’s a beautiful idea. Thank you. We have a talented mom/professional who has been snapping beautiful photos throughout the season. Love this. And so grateful for her. I can never seem to capture any good ones on the ice.
Thank you for acknowledging Dr. King. Peace!
Peace, indeed. Have a great week.
Thank you for sharing! I look forward to your posts. Can you please let me know the details of your beautiful bedroom please? I love the calm neutrals 💛
Thank you!
Have a blessed day
Thank you so much. I appreciate that. I will send you a link and add it to the post.
At my daughter’s senior year golf banquet, the coach gave them blankets with their varsity letter sown onto one corner. It was a great gift since I really don’t know what she’d do with her varsity letter otherwise, and she uses it every time she’s home. Your FL home looks amazing, what a great retreat.
Gosh I LOVE that idea. They were already given their letters but that would have been perfect. Now my wheels are turning. And thank you so much. We really are so grateful. Have a wonderful week, Lisa!
Congrats on Senior Night! My son’s senior night was such a blur, but SO great. I remember just being in awe of how far he’d come in hockey. His team did engraved stainless steel tumblers (yeti knock-offs, I believe). Another team did embossed leather bag tags, which were really fun. I feel like coming up with boy ideas is harder! My daughter’s team got Kate Spade purses last year 🙂
