Good morning. How was your weekend? We flirted with temps in the 80ºs so it was dreamy. A bit chilly this morning but I’m looking forward to getting some things done around the house. We had one of those non-stop weekends but grateful for all of the memories made.
SPRING IS HERE

This is our neighbors tree and it’s just gorgeous. Each year when it blooms it brings so much joy.
TULIP SEASON

Driving around town this time of year is also so lovely. Tulips are my favorite flowers so I love seeing them pop up every where. Have you ever planted them yourself? I need to look and see when the bulbs should be planted and put it on my calendar.
HOME BY SUNSET

Ryan and I had a date night Friday night and we were home and in sweats by sunset! My kind of night. Anyone else like to go out early and by home early?
*These hydrangeas are still looking so great. They add a pretty spring touch to a room or porch. I sent a set with Riley to college, too.
A FUN CELEBRATION

Last night was my son’s hockey banquet. It was so much fun and held so many emotions for me. It marks the last major school event I helped plan and that just seems impossible. After years and years of school projects, parties, events, and sports . . . how is it winding down? This group of boys and parents were top notch and I am so grateful for the high school hockey experience. We gifted the players soft blankets with their varsity letters. We had a local tailor do the sewing.
*This handy gadget ($8) is something I use all of the time to quickly hem or tighten something. This was the first time I used it with paper and it was fantastic to attach the kids’ names to the ribbon. Riley uses hers at school all the time. I can’t believe I went most of my life without one.
DARLING CUSTOM COOKIES

If you are local, I used Kelly from Nash Cookie Momster and these turned out amazing. She is so talented. So fun for upcoming graduations or summer events!
BALLOON TOWERS

And a huge thank you to the mom who made these stunning balloon towers (you can buy the stands here). We printed out photos from the season and had them hanging between the towers. You could do something similar for graduation. Then the kids and parents were able to take the photos home at the end of the night.
I used these black frames at everyone’s seat as place cards – framing one of their action shots from the season.
SCUMPTIOUS

These zucchini brownies are fantastic. I promise they just taste like gooey chocolate brownies. . . not zucchini. My mouth is watering looking at these.
GO TO GRAD GIFT

High praise for this bag. Riley and I both have it and LOVE it. It’s been a game changer for travel. My sister gifted Riley this bag for graduation and that is how I first learned about it. It’s now my favorite grad gift.
WEARING ON REPEAT

I’ve been wearing this top on repeat lately. In fact I wore it this night to play couples Mahjong and the next night to the banquet. LOVE! And I used this tanning lotion to give me some color. It goes on so well with great, natural color (no yucky ingredients).
SATURDAY SHOPPING

In case you missed it, Saturday Shopping was a fun one! You can see it all here. This dress from Nordstrom was a fan favorite.
*To my mamas starting to think about college rooms next year, this is my favorite round up.
*If you are signed up for my newsletter, it may have gone to your spam folder. Please move it to your inbox, if that is the case. It was a heartfelt one for sure.
I’m off to bible study which is always a really lovely way to begin the week. We are headed into birthday season over here so I also need to hop into planning mode. Wishing you a wonderful Monday.
May I ask more about the hockey team blankets? My son’s basketball banquet was this past Saturday. They gave the seniors two poster size framed pictures, painted basketball and a hoodie. I am a realistic person and feel that was not money well spent. I am trying to gather ideas to take to the next booster meeting.
Yes, happy to answer. We really wanted something that the kids would actually use. We ordered the blankets from Sam’s Club. We then had the varsity letter sewn on each one.
I’ve also seen where the gifts depend on your year. So freshman always get X and sophomores always get Y. I think that is a really great way to go. So seniors might get blankets with the varsity letters and the boys have that to look forward to. Takes the guess work out of it going forward.
Love your jeans in the photo with the cute button up vest. Do you by chance have a link for those? What a fun hockey celebration you put together! It was my son’s last year of Bantams this year, it goes so fast! Thank you!
Gosh it goes by way too quickly!!! Unfortunately, I can’t find them anymore. They are Free People but last season.
