Monday Morning Wrap Up

May 11, 2026 by Courtney Leave a Comment

Good morning. I hope you had a beautiful day yesterday. We are almost to the middle of May which seems impossible. I always want spring to slow down but so far it’s not cooperating. Here is look back at a very busy week with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.

SO BEAUTIFUL

Tulips always have my heart. Just so beautiful. These were spotted at Trader Joe’s. I wanted to buy them all. I think it’s their simplicity that I find so striking.

THE BIRTHDAY BOY

May is crazy for us, just like everyone else. On top of the normal busy we have two birthdays. Always fun to celebrate this man. So grateful to be on this journey with my best friend. I have so much respect for the person he is and how he lives his life. And many of you have been here since our children were that young. Where in the world has the time gone? This week we officially have two adult children. What?

*This was my husband’s favorite gift. He has already worn it three times. It’s a good one.

THE BIG MOVE OUT

move out

If you have done the college move out, this scene will look familiar My daughter had finals up until the last minute so we moved everything out (except for what she needed to sleep one more night). It’s always an exhausting process. We filled two cars to the brim only to have one of the cars say, “Engine Overheating.” I won’t go into detail, but when you are far away from home, have the car filled to the brim and can barely make it to the mechanic, it throws a wrench in things. That and a 7 hour drive home looming. Needless to say, it was a bit of whirlwind but we all made it home safely. Grateful indeed.

UNDER THE GOLDEN DOME

Sophomore year is officially in the books. So proud of our girl. She worked really hard this year and I have so much admiration for her bravery. We were blessed with incredible weather during move out so we enjoyed time on campus and got in lots of steps. She took a break from living at the library both nights to have dinner with us which was wonderful.

THE GROTTO

Visiting the Grotto on campus is a must. Such a special place to light a candle and spend time in prayer. There is just something so very meaningful about this spot.

STEEPLECHASE

steeplechase

We pulled into our house around 8:00 PM and turned right around on Saturday morning to host Riley’s friends for Steeplechase (a fun horse race up in Nashville). This annual event has been so fun for these girls. While my daughter was still running on fumes from finals, she wouldn’t have missed this for the world. And having these girls, who I love, giggling and getting ready in our home makes me so happy. The music blaring and video making is something I have missed. These are the days! It’s nice that they have all gone their separate ways for college but immediately come back to spend time together.

GRADUATION CELEBRATION

arrington

After we saw the girls off to Steeplechase we headed straight to a graduation celebration for our dear friend’s son. He graduated from Belmont University and the party continued at Arrington Vineyards. If you are ever visiting, this is a must. You can bring a picnic and enjoy a beautiful day on the grounds. Very family friendly and a wonderful place to celebrate milestone moments.

MOTHER’S DAY WALK

morning walk

There is one thing my family can count on and that is me wanting to be outside for Mother’s Day. This year’s walk was so beautiful. The entire trail looked like this. Beyond grateful for this season in life and a moment to slow down and enjoy it.

CUTIE PIE SET

Spotted this cute matching set and thought I should share. Great reviews and so good for the warmer months.

SATURDAY SHOPPING

A sneak peek of this weekend’s Saturday Shopping. If you missed it, you can check it out here.

  • linen button down (I wear it all the time)
  • denim – look like Mother Jeans but only $50!
  • blue midi dress – I’m in love with this dress
  • polo dress – so versatile and pretty for summer

We are winding down with senior year over here. Not only is it the last week of classes but our son turns 18! SO many milestones happening. If you have a lot on your plate or are hosting soon, my trick is to use a poster board to make a giant to do list. We hang it on one of our interior doors and as people get things done, it gets crossed off the list. Don’t knock it until you try it. I learned it from my parents and the tradition continues. Somehow writing it down and allowing everyone to cross things off works wonders. Off to make our list. Make it a great Monday, my friend.
