Monday Morning Wrap Up

June 22, 2026 by Courtney Leave a Comment

Good morning. Coming to you from a cozy rainy day. How is the weather where you are? We enjoyed so much family time these past few days. My heart is full and ready to start the week. Here is a bit of life lately on this Monday morning.

BIRTHDAY RECAP

birthday

It was so sweet to wake up to the kitchen being decorated for my birthday. The family did such a great job surprising me. We are the family that has a birthday every couple of weeks beginning in April so it always seems like the birthday marathon. Is anyone else in that boat? Needless to say, when they take over for mine it’s such a gift.

GOLF X

I love doing something active as a family any chance I get so we headed to Golf X in Franklin and it was a blast. If you are in the area, it’s a new spot with golf simulators and it’s really well done. A great vibe and we had so much fun together. If you are in the thick of raising babies, remember this tip. Doing anything active has always brought about the best memories for us. The walls come down, everyone laughs, and it’s just a really nice way to spend time together.

*We have this same sofa in Ryan’s office and love it (on sale).

HERMITAGE HOTEL

We headed downtown to The Hermitage Hotel for dinner. Another spot I highly recommend. (My Nashville guide can be found here). It’s a historic hotel and absolutely stunning.

INCREDIBLE LOBBY

This photo does not do the hotel justice. It glimmers in person and is really a very special place.

THE BEST GIFT

drusie and darr

Our family time is so special now that the kids are older. I love having Riley home and having fun conversations over dinner. As they’ve grown into adulthood, it’s so fun to hear their perspectives and thoughts on the world. I learn from them every day. And thank you to Riley for snapping this photo because we have really dropped the ball on photos over the last couple of years.

*Strapless top found here.

DRUSIE & DARR

Drusie & Darr is the restaurant inside of the hotel and it’s fantastic. Not to mention everything comes out looking absolutely beautiful.

TIME ON THE DECK

We also spent a good amount of time on the deck this past weekend because the weather was so lovely. It’s by far my favorite spot to get lost in a book. Are you reading something good right now? I am reading The Secret History and have Theo of Golden and Midnight Train waiting for me. Drop your recommendation below if you’ve read something you love lately.

FATHER’S DAY

Father’s Day is always a bit bittersweet but we loved honoring this guy. He is the most generous and supportive dad. He consistently drops everything for us and I am so grateful. And I can’t get over this nugget. How is she 20. This was the first Father’s Day with two adult children so I printed out photos from the years with Ryan and the kids. It was fun to string them up and do a walk down memory lane.

ON THE GRILL

My friend Sheila posted this recipe and I had to try! So amazing. This exact recipe is for Tofu (not our thing) so we swapped that for chicken. Soooooo delicious.

*Also the Lemon Arugula Basil salad kit from Trader Joes is a winner. I rarely buy kits as we get our greens from the Farmer’s Market but I was in a pinch and tried it. It’s great! Riley and I add fresh peaches, avocado and grilled chicken for a really yummy lunch.

AMAZON PRIME SALES

As you know, Amazon Prime Days are about to be in full swing. I will do a post of what I think is worth a look. But it’s not a good sale if you don’t need it! Keep that in mind. I will be buying a new Green Machine. We accidentally dropped ours and something happened where it now leaks and it’s almost impossible to use. We miss so much. It’s my favorite way to clean our outdoor furniture and I’ve come to depend on it. It works so well. If you do buy one, just don’t drop it from your deck railing (long story). This one is more compact than my original one which I am looking forward to.

handbag

I carry this handbag almost daily. It has a great removable bag that goes inside of it. I often take just that if I need to toss it in a different bag. Can’t say enough great things about this. The Amazon version is $5 off so I just bought one for Riley to take to back to school with her.

The clear bins I use in so many of our drawers are 19% off. I also bought a set of these for Riley’s dorm room drawers and she loves them.

family room rug

Our family room rug is part of the early Prime Day deals. Nothing softer. Both my sister and I have it in our family rooms.

To see a few items we love and that are on sale early you can head here. And if you missed out on Saturday Shopping, this will get you caught up. Make it a great Monday, my friend.
