Good morning. How was your Fourth of July? We had such a great time celebrating with friends and family. It’s always been such a memorable weekend. It also marks the anniversary of losing my mom so it is a tender one. Dragging a bit this morning but looking forward to the week ahead. What is on your agenda? Here is a bit of what we have been up to with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.
RED WHEEL AT THE FACTORY

If you like live music and songwriter events, The Red Wheel at The Factory is a fun summer series. It takes place in the theater next to Mojo’s and is fantastic. These gentleman were incredibly talented and told fascinating stories behind the songs that giants like Tim McGraw sing. We celebrated a friend’s birthday here and it was a fun night with all of the couples.
READY FOR THE FOURTH

Nothing better than hanging all of the flags and celebrating 250 years.
COFFEE & DONUTS

We kicked off the morning by having our neighbors over for coffee and donuts. We are truly so blessed to have such wonderful families all around us. It was a really simple way to bring everyone together and celebrate. You could of course do mimosas or Bloody Mary’s but we kicked things off at 8:30 and decided to keep it mellow.

These carafes are wonderful to have on hand. Great for iced coffee and water (next year we will skip the juice and do two waters and two coffees). We also love this gold ice bucket (holds so much).
If you are wanting to host a neighborhood gathering, the morning is perfect because then everyone can head out for their usual Fourth of July plans.
SUMMER DINNERS

This weekend we made these chili lime peach and chicken kabobs and they were great. You can find the recipe here (replace the tofu with chicken and you’re all set). We used this grill plan and it worked so well. It was really toasty out so it was nice to be able to cook these inside.
*Tip: I cut about an inch and a half off of each skewer prior to soaking them. That way they fit in the grill pan nicely and it’s just the right amount of food (everyone had 2).
My friend Candy made the most amazing spinach salad the other day. I simplified it a bit and just used baby spinach, a cup of cooked orzo, 1/2 cup of pine nuts, and a blush vinaigrette dressing. Refreshing and yummy.
SMELLS AMAZING

I am the first to admit I steer clear of fragrances. But Riley just got this one and I have to say it smells amazing. The No Fragrance Fragrance is allergen free.
DINING ROOM ADDITION

So excited about these new pillow covers. I am using them at our dining room table (on the end chairs). The price is fantastic. Even Riley commented that they look like designer pillows. Highly recommend. (more colors available)

I kept Saturday Shopping short and sweet this week but with some really cute finds (and great sales). You can see the entire post here.
I’m off to clear out our laundry room! This project has been a long time in the making and we are having cabinets delivered this week. Stay tuned for updates. Wishing you a wonderful start to your morning.
