Good morning. How was your weekend? We were visiting our daughter which was so much fun. I always love being on her campus and getting quality time with our girl. It’s safe to say I am exhausted today but feeling such gratitude. Here is recap of life lately with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.
TIME WITH OUR GIRL

All smiles for getting to hug our girl. We sure miss her around the house so it’s always wonderful to be on her turf and enjoy time with her. We were blessed with incredible weather which made it even better. And I was just grateful my back was good enough to make the trip. Just so proud of this young woman and all that she is accomplishing.
33 YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP

On top of seeing our daughter we also had five of our college crew on campus. Such a gift! We have all been friends for 33 years. Love these ladies. It’s been true friendship (no drama) from day one and years of supporting one another. Truly grateful for these lifelong friendships.
We also spent time with my brother-in-law and nephew . . . it was a packed and wonderful weekend.
*My argyle sweater is 50% off.
TAILGATE FUN

Shout out to the darling cookies. Nothing better than a day of tailgating. The energy on campus is palpable and always so exciting. I know many of you had parents’ weekends on various campuses this past weekend. So much fun.
LET’S GO!

It was special to see the entire team take a knee in prayer before kick off. Such a faith filled environment and I always love my time on campus.
SATURDAY SHOPPING

Saturday Shopping was a fun one this week. SO many great pieces (including 100% cotton options). If you missed the post you can see it all here.
- plaid jacket
- 100% cotton cardigan
- plaid flannel shirt
- short sleeve sweater (love this style)
UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER

True story time. I have been using this scalp serum and shampoo for almost one year now ( I started in October of last year). No question is stopped my fallout and I began to see so much new hair growth. Then I stopped and wow. More shedding. I am back to the routine again and won’t be stopping anytime soon. I didn’t want to take anything orally and this has been a game changer. I thought I would share my experience now that I am almost 12 months in. My hair stylist also notices a difference in hair growth and fallout when I am consistent.
*This shampoo has been instrumental in putting an end to shedding. And one bottle lasts a very long time.
INCREDIBLE SALE

These frames are a FANTASTIC price right now. We have a group of six in our family room and love them. We happened to frame photos from places we have visited but if you have been wanting to finally print some family photos now is the time. A gallery wall is always timeless (so is oversized matting).
I also notice the dresser we used in our beach rental is 40% off. It’s basic but great. I swapped the hardware with gold and it looks really cute. Three years in and the dresser still looks wonderful.
A HAPPY KIND OF EXHAUSTION

I have heard from so many of you who were on your child’s campus this week. The one thing we all have in common is that we are exhausted. But it’s a happy exhausted which feels wonderful. I did make it to bible study this morning but am now back in comfy clothes to get some work done. Cheers to a slow but productive Monday.
By the way, I had a conversation with a dear friend this weekend about how much this industry has changed (with social media) and I just want to say a huge thank you to those of you who still take a moment to read this blog and be here. I honestly feel like it’s having coffee with an old friend and that if we met in person we would be fast friends. Maybe it’s old fashioned, but I like the slower pace over here.
Hi Courtney! I just wanted to send a quick note to thank you for maintaining your blog. As someone who loves your content, particularly on home decor, but is not active on social media, it’s tough to find people like you who are willing to still put in the time and effort to reach those of us still interested in the long-form blog format. But I just wanted to let you know, we’re still out here! actively participating and clicking through your links and so appreciative of your thoughtful 🙂 content. I agree, if we met in person, I think we would be fast friends as well!
Alissa, this made my day. I would give you a big hug if I could. It’s wonderful to know you are still reading and this is why I do this. Here’s to keeping the long-form alive. And maybe one day we will grab that coffee. Enjoy your week.
Same sentiment as earlier – we are still out here! 🩷
Means so much! Thank you!!!
Hi Courtney ~ I too love the blog! Seeing your family and home does make it feel like a coffee date catch up! Thank you for sharing a little slice of your life with us!🩷
I love this, Tammy. Thank you so much. If only we could all meet for coffee. Have a great week and thank you for taking a moment to comment.
Courtney, I have been following since you were still caring for your mom. The love and care you showed to her is what impressed me first about you. I love that you are so down to earth and not hesitant to share your faith. Thank you for showing us things from Walmart as well as high end stores. This gives us all a choice in our price range. Please stay just as you are. As a lifelong Tennessean, im so glad that you love our state.
Becky, this is so kind. Thank you for sticking with us all this time. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss my mom. And it means a lot to me that you appreciate the ranges of pieces I share. And a lifelong Tennessean – a true unicorn. We love TN so much. Your state welcomed us with open arms and we are so grateful for the friendships we have made.
I too love your blog and am a long-time reader. Is everything ok with your son? You haven’t mentioned him in a while and while I absolutely respect bloggers’ right to privacy, given that you weren’t previously private about his whereabouts it is concerning that he is no longer mentioned. Hope everything is ok with him.
I was just thinking this too! Hope all is going well with Grady!
You all are so sweet. Yes! He is fantastic and pursuing a career in marketing. He has just requested to be private as he has grown up which I completely respect. He is a true entrepreneur and working with a start up. I would love to be sharing and bragging about him but he prefers otherwise. Thank you to everyone who has inquired.
Love your blog! Thank you for still being in this space!
Thank YOU for still being here. I love that we all prefer a slower pace and can be here together.
I too, have been wondering about your son……hope all is well!!
I’ve been following your blog since my mom was going through the ravages of alzheimer’s. She passed away in 2020. I still miss her every single day!
I love your blog just the way it is, please don’t change a thing:)
He is great and doing what he loves. Thank you for asking. I’m so very sorry about the loss of your mom. I understand every part of this and missing her every day. That never goes away, does it. But how lucky we had such wonderful moms to miss. And thank you for the kind words.
I LOVE your blog and always trust your recommendations! I just purchased the little green machine carpet and upholstery cleaner and it works great!!
Hi Courtney, I always look forward to reading your blog, and especially enjoy your Monday Morning Wrap-ups! I, too, am in the high school and college years with children, and so those college visit posts are particularly relatable. Thank you for continuing to write and post and to share your life.
Hi Courtney. I don’t normally comment online, but just wanted to jump on here to echo what my fellow blog readers have said. I love your blog. It’s one of the few I make a point to visit every week. As a mom of college kids, an interior design consultant, and a fellow ND alum, I appreciate your lovely style and thoughtful perspective on family, faith, & life. I, too, enjoyed the great weekend on the ND campus – a first in 8 years! Keep up the great work.
Hi Courtney, I have been a reader since our kids were little (my daughter and son are same ages as yours), I continue to look forward to your posts each week. I appreciate your authenticity. Today I was pleased to see your shampoo recommendation-I’m going to give it a try. Thank you for sharing with us!
Me too!! Long time follower and love your format!
Thank you for your hard work and positive comments!
Hi Courtney,
Yes, yes, I agree with the other posts! I love your posts and your honesty. My husband has also done some of your recipes and they have been so yummy. Thank you friend.
I want to join in and also thank you for keeping up your blog. I can’t count the number of times that I have referenced back to find a particular item to purchase, or recipe to make, or a tip you shared. Your recommendations are so good! I appreciate that you share things you actually love and use. I’ve never been disappointed with a purchase I’ve made from your suggestions and my home is prettier and cozier for it too! I don’t even remember how I found you but I’ve been following for many years! I have a daughter, Riley, in college right now too! 😊
Always love reading your blog and hearing about the kids and your family. I’ve also purchased a lot of clothes after you’ve shown them on the blog. So thanks! Nancy❤️
I have been reading your blog since you were featured on iheartorganizing! Maybe I am old-fashioned, but I love the format of a blog, instead of the fast content of social media. You always come across on both (social media and the blog) as genuine and true, and I appreciate your efforts very much. I feel like if we met, I would want to hang out and catch up 🙂
