Monday Morning Wrap Up

October 12, 2026 by Courtney Leave a Comment

Happy Monday! I feel like October is already starting to fly. We are looking forward to having the four of us back together for fall break next week. Both kids have been working so hard so it will be nice to spend some time relaxing together. Anyone else feeling like the holidays will be here before we know it? I love this time of year in Tennessee and hoping to hold onto a long fall. Here is a bit of what we have been up to with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.

THE BEAUTY OF A ROUTINE

coffee

I love this verse so much because it reminds us that even our prayer time needs to be part of our routine. We love getting morning light our front porch and then I end up on our back deck for some quiet time and coffee. It’s so pretty to witness the change of seasons. Do you have a morning routine you look forward to?

CHATTING WITH FRIENDS

breakfast

I was chatting with my friends about eating breakfast before coffee (much better for the gut). It was a very hard practice for me to get into but now I wake up hungry so it’s much easier. But we were saying we need it to be quick and easy. My tip is to batch cook a couple of items so you have them for 3-4 days. I make ground turkey using Siete taco seasoning. It’s really yummy. It only takes about 15-20 minutes to make and then I have it for a few days. At the same time, I air fry either yukon or sweet potatoes.

Doing that means breakfast literally takes 5 minutes to make. I scramble a couple of eggs and reheat the ground turkey and potatoes. It could not be any faster or easier. Starting the day with a meal like this (protein, fat and carbs) has been a game changer in my energy level and health. Just wanted to pass along if you are struggling with pulling together a quick and nourishing breakfast.

DOWNTOWN FRANKLIN

franklin shopping

Met up with a friend to do some shopping downtown. I just adore this town and really love supporting our local shops. You won’t find a friendlier place to spend some time.

deli

This great spot is just off of Main Street. If you are local or visiting the chicken club panini with a cup of tomato basil soup will not let you down.

MAHJONG NIGHT

Got together with dear friends to play Mahjong. Do you play? We love it so much and always appreciate the quality time together.

BEAUTY OF FALL

fall trees

Fall is such a magical time of the year. I love watching the trees begin to change.

*Thank you to everyone who inquired about our Florida place with the hurricane. Our sweet area did better than most and we are so grateful that the house did not have any damage. The cleanup process is underway and I am so thankful to everyone pitching in. We have some friends visiting the this week and are enjoying their fall break. I am so happy to hear that.

A LITTLE THANK YOU

cookies

Last week we had a fabulous crew her to install wallpaper in the laundry room. They worked so hard and never took a break so I sent them home with homemade cookies. If you ever need a fail proof quick and easy cookie recipe, this is it. And they make the house smell amazing.

WARMING THINGS UP

drapes before

After five years we are getting our act together with window treatments. We like to take our time apparently. Here is the before.

And the after. I still needed to steam the right side panel when I snapped this but I am so happy with how much cozier our dining area looks. We used these drapery panels (color: natural) and this rod. They are a greige color in person and really pretty.

*I adore these fall stems. They are on sale. I used 3 in this vase.

THE HOT LITTLE NUMBER

These stole the show this weekend for Saturday Shopping. They are not inexpensive (Uggs never are) but they are a special edition and so darn cute. The stitching is so good. A fun Christmas surprise for the teens/college girls.

GREAT PRICE AND COLOR

Riley may or may not have stolen these from me. The colors is so good for fall. Fantastic price ($35 + free shipping).

A TRUE CLASSIC

There is nothing more classic than a magnolia garland. I love using these during the holidays. They are pretty for Thanksgiving through Christmas. Great down the middle of your dining table, too. Currently marked down.

WORDS OF WISDOM

words of wisdom

One of these days I will get back to writing my newsletter. I always share words of wisdom and I though this was really fantastic. A gentle reminder that how people act is rarely, if ever, about us. It’s almost certainly a reflection of what is stirring inside of them.

Make it a great Monday, my friend.
