Good morning. I hope you are all having a fantastic week. I can’t say I have been very productive but I have snuck in a few workouts and walks with friends so I’ll take it. I just need to get back into the swing of meal planning. Today I am sharing a neutral capsule wardrobe. When I paired down my own closet I really started to focus on what I wear all the time. I’ve put together a collection of pieces that can be mixed and matched to create so many different looks. I kept it casual and comfy because that is really what my wardrobe looks like right now. Having said that, you can still pull off a great date night look with these gems.
CAPSULE WARDROBE
COMFY HOODIE
A cozy hoodie looks great with leggings or jeans and a soft ivory or gray goes with everything. It also looks great under a short jacket. I highly recommend this one in oatmeal (only $20).
SOFT SWEATER
This is one of my all time favorite sweaters ($29). It’s just so soft and cute. I also really like this ivory one.
PRETTY EARRINGS
These are the earrings I wear on a daily basis. I think a little touch of gold is all you need. A basic set of hoops is great, too.
SPORTY BUT CHIC SHORT JACKET
Yes to this daring jacket. I love the look. It’s casual but it doesn’t look like you are headed to play in the snow. A like having one great short coat and one long one.
CLASSIC SNEAKERS
These will never go out of style. An ivory pair looks so cute with leggings or jeans.
GOLD BUCKLE BELT
This belt has been a closet staple over here for quite some time. It is the easiest way to dress up a look. With a pair of black heels you are ready for date night. You can’t beat the price. I also really love it in beige.
BEAUTIFUL LONG COAT
If you are going to invest in a long coat, be sure it’s a classic cut. This one is so pretty and I love the light color. A darker camel is also perfect for a capsule wardrobe.
PATTERNED SCARF
A neutral patterned scarf will look great with any of these pieces. I love the soft colors on this one.
GREAT PAIR OF JEANS
You most likely already have a go-to pair. I don’t care what the trend is, go with the style that makes you feel great. It doesn’t matter if it’s wide-legged, skinny or flare. Or any other style for that matter. You do you and own it.
BACK HEELS
Every girl needs a classic black pump. I wear mine so often.
SNAKESKIN BOOTIES
Snakeskin booties are a must for me. I reach for them all the time. They add pattern and texture to your looks.
QUILTED CROSSBODY
Ladies! This is a steal. Of course you can splurge on a very lovely handbag or you can snag this one for only $20. It gets great reviews.
BLACK & WHITE SNEAKERS
I like the contrast of the black and white. These look awesome with leggings and denim.
A COUPLE MORE BASICS
You most likely have a pair of black leggings you love (these are my favorite) and both a black and white t-shirt. Layered under sweaters and jackets, they go a long way. Especially with your favorite jeans and a pretty belt.
These really are a great pair of leggings. I wear them constantly. They are flattering and well-priced. Plus they wash and dry really well.
I am working on a post to share how you can mix and match all of these to create so many different outfits.
What’s on your agenda for the day? Are you doing anything special for the upcoming four day weekend? In case you missed my post on affordable lighting options, you can check that out here.

I love your thoughts on “jeans”. I’m a curvy gal and can’t find a pair of “trendy” jeans to fit me. So appreciate your comment
