New White Dining Chairs

February 9, 2015 by Courtney 9 Comments

I have been wanting to replace our dining room chairs for what seems like forever. I have come close many times and then ended up changing my mind. The problem is that our current chairs are so well made. They don’t make them like they used to. But I was ready to move on. The upholstery was shot and we had already recovered them too many times to count. And the paint job I gave them left a lot to be desired. I am a major sucker for white or off white chairs paired with a darker table. All of the images below showcase just how pretty and fresh that look is. I think you’ll agree. whitechairsdarktable via gorgeouswhitechairs via I mean. Are there words for how pretty this image is? I am in love. Verandah House Interiors can do no wrong in my book. whitechairs via These are actually VERY similar to our current chairs. I really do love the look. Just ready for a change. weddingchairs via So in the end, and after many years of debate, we chose these! I am so excited. They are very similar to chairs we had when I was growing up and I always loved them. The bring back such great memories. And I can’t wait to spend our nightly family dinners on these new lovelies. Our dinner hour is sacred around here and pretty much our favorite part of the day. chairs I am so excited. I bought six but decided I will do something different for captain’s chairs so two will go back. I purchased mine from Overstock but can you believe I paid more for them then I would have at Restoration Hardware? What was I thinking? Not much more, but geesh. I think I assumed they would have been more at RH. I will show you photos of the whole space soon. I just can’t believe we actually made a decision. Isn’t it funny how you can quickly decide some things {even much more important things} and other decisions seem to drag on and on. I hope I am not alone in that. Enjoy your day, all!

The chairs are lovely. I would not look twice at the chairs as pictured on the RH site (too dark) but on the Overstock site they look beautiful. So strange as it sounds I can see ordering from Overstock just because of the better photo.

I love those chairs, and I had no idea they are such a steal at RH! Maybe I can convince my husband that they'd make a great Valentine's Day gift 🙂

I really love these chairs! I've always been a fan of this style chair. I also love your comment about your dinner hour being sacred. We so looked forward to our family dinners growing up and catching up on everyone's day and lots of laughter. Special family memories.

Oh girl…I hear you on the dragging on part….indecision is my middle name! I finally had our Breakfast Room table/chair exactly how I wanted it (dark table/white chairs) 😉 and now they are way too small for the new space! Maybe in another 10 years I'll get this new Breakfast Room right!! Love those chairs…can't wait to see how they changed the room!

Hi. I love the dining chairs. I actually own the same dining table. Would you please recommend a less expensive chair option to go with my table?? Thanks! I would truly appreciate it. I’m just not good at interior decorating.
