Put Your Party Shoes On!

December 16, 2016 by Courtney 5 Comments

I love this time of year and wish it would slow down just a tad. I can not even believe that Christmas is just a week away. How did that happen? Tis’ the season for dressing up a bit and I stumbled upon a great heel that won’t break the bank. Teamed up with Nordstrom to share my favorite shoes as of late.  First up is a formal look with a timeless heel. Time to put your party shoes on, my friends.

DRESSING UP

I think this may be one of my all time favorite shoe styles. It flatters almost any outfit and body type. I also like that this particular heel isn’t too high so you can dance or walk the night away. If fact, this very evening we walked all over Balboa Island and my feet still felt great. That’s the sign of a good heel. The fact that they are only $60 works for me!

These photos were snapped on Balboa Island. If you are local, I am sure you have been. It’s one of my very favorite places in Southern California. The boats, the beach, the shops and the charm. It’s all just so good. The holiday lights this time of year make it extra magical.

This heel comes in 11 different colors, too. I highly recommend that if you are trying to stock your wardrobe with basics, you have a pair of nude and black patent leather heels. Those two heels alone can pretty much go with absolutely any look you pull together. Even jeans! The blush patent color is awesome.

KICK UP YOUR HEELS

Those plaid heels! Aren’t they fun? I have a pair of black heels that have a similar jewel on the toe. I have had them for probably ten years and love them. These are a major splurge but just had to share them because they are so beautiful. If I could choose my wedding shoes all over again I would have gone with this style. So so beautiful. These velvet heels just came out and are so feminine and pretty.

Party Shoes

The berry heels with the bows are pretty amazing. With a simple black dress they would be so pretty.

FANCY FLATS

If heels aren’t your thing, not to worry. There are so many beautiful flats available right now. I love the wrap up silk ones and the patent leather oxford shoe. So chic.

PARTY FLATS

Leopard flats are always a great neutral. I have a pair and where them with jeans all the time. I also keep them by the door and throw them on when I need to run out to help the kids are see them off to school (unless it’s summer and I am in flip flops).

BOOTS I LOVE

Another favorite lately are these boots. I just love the look and style. I will say these boots were not made for walking around town! They are my go-to if I am meeting friends or headed out on a date night. I always have people asking me where they are from. My go-to booties (super comfy) were just price matched. I love how Nordstrom will do that!

These are considered a slouchy boot which adds to their cute look. The plaid scarf that has been on repeat over here is now marked down to just $10!

boots | dress | gingham top

My Hunter Boots are also a classic style that I have had for years. While they are more expensive than some other options they do last forever and fit great (half size down). The fan favorite gingham blouse is now only $23!!

If you missed it, I shared our top picks for the children, too. You can see our favorites here.

How does the gingham shirt run, as far as fit?

Hi Toni! Mine is a medium and fits great. Not too boxy and falls nicely because of the material. I hope that helps. Have a fantastic day.

I love Balboa Island! I went often when I lived in San Diego and had dreams of living there one day. It is so charming. You look beautiful, classy and elegant in that two piece. Those heels are perfect with it. Great round up of shoes! One of each please. Those patent leather oxfords are fun! The gold mules are, too. I did pick up the gingham blouse and infact am wearing it today. Hope you’re having a wonderful Friday Courtney! I cannot believe Christmas is almost upon us. How did that happen?! xo

I bought the parent black BP heels to wear with a shiny Ted Baker dress to my friends wedding a few weeks ago. I also agree that the heel is a great height and that they can be worn for a long time without pain. I walked and danced in them for hours! I would consider other colors as well – such a great price!
