Welcome to the weekend. I really wish I could hug each and every one of you who left a comment yesterday. I admire your willingness to open up and be honest. I think so many of us are thinking along the same lines and and how wonderful if we push each other to make even the smallest change. Today we are off to baseball activities and then hoping to just relax for a bit. Of course my relaxing may turn into cleaning but that’s par for the course and makes me feel productive. Popping in today for a nod to the field jacket for this week’s Saturday Shopping. While I have had mine over a year, I find myself reaching for it more and more lately.
I’ve been wearing this dress so much and I love the way this field jacket pairs with it. I bought this jacket last year from Gray Monroe. It is on sale right now but I think sizes are limited. I am wearing a small. This one, though a higher price, just came out and is darling. They both cinch in at the waist creating a really flattering look that does not give you the boxy look.
If you missed it, you can see how I styled this comfy dress three different ways in this post. And at $54 it’s a good deal.

I also love this jacket with jean cut shorts for Spring and Summer. It’s a really fun look. And yes, I am still wearing my rose gold $12 sunglasses! They go with everything! So many of you have shared that you have my favorite Free People tank and that would be darling under this jacket.

I found this ring $12 (very similar to the one I am wearing). It’s been a fun addition to my accessories.

This jacket is a fun alternative to a jean jacket because, well, it goes with jeans. I have never really done the double denim thing so this is a fun slightly edgy look when paired with skinny jeans and a graphic tee. These are the jeans I showed you in this post. I forgot to mention they are a mid rise (so they do not sit too low) and so comfortable. They feel awesome and are so soft. They do not disappoint and are comfy when you’ve over indulged if you know what I mean (chips and guacamole, anyone?).
And I am so flipping excited because I bought a tank like this years and years ago (I still have it). But it is showing it’s wear and tear and I have searched every year for one. I LOVE the racerback and just bought it. Such a great layering piece for early Spring, too.
And they finally came out with a smaller reversible bag. I am on a mint green kick lately so this caught my eye. Would be really cute with navy and white. And have you guys seen this tee? Ha! I seriously laughed out loud when I read it in the store. It’s so me. I am sad to admit. And in keeping with a little blog humor, this one is pretty darn funny.

I recently snagged a field jacket VERY similar to the Nordstrom version at Old Navy for a steal, but sizes are limited!! Love it paired with the dress.

Love the jacket paired with the dress — unexpected but cute and casual! I’m with you on the double denim thing — I’ve never quite figured out how to master that.
