Weekend Wrap-Up

November 1, 2016 by Courtney 12 Comments

Good morning! I usually wrap-up our weekend on Monday but with Halloween we were all-in with the kiddos yesterday so I was not on my computer. So here we are! I hope you all had a really Happy Halloween. My children did not have school yesterday so they were on pins and needles waiting to trick or treat all day. It really was a great night and seeing their joy made the evening a win. Here is our weekend wrap-up.

Harry! Is that you? My son has adored Harry Pottery since reading the very first book so this year’s costume was very fitting. Can you tell he was into it? He loved that everyone knew who he was right away. Very sweet.

My sweet zombie cheerleader enjoyed every minute of dressing up and wearing the fun makeup. She kept thanking me for helping her with her crazy get-up. Hard to believe she is already 10. Time flies and I remember her being  a tiny little pumpkin like it was yesterday. But I love watching this girl turn into a bright and adventurous young lady.

FUN CRAFT IDEA

Just FYI that these foam crafts from Michaels are a HUGE hit around here. I scooped them up prior to Halloween for 70% off so I am sure they are on sale for even less now. This was a $20 craft and I paid $6. It was two hours of fun for my son and my daughter put together a darling house. Keep these in mind over the holidays. They have cute designs for Thanksgiving and Christmas, too.

GRAB THEM QUICKLY

Also spotted these fantastic Christmas trees at HomeGoods. They won’t last long and would look so great next to a front door or on either side of a fireplace. SO GOOD. Regretting not grabbing them.

A CLASSIC CHOICE

Lastly, a reader of mine emailed me asking for my opinion on a cute Fall coat that won’t break the bank. This was an easy choice. I have this in a red wine color and ordered the camel color this year. It’s classic and won’t ever go out of style. It’s a nice weight and I highly recommend. Plus it’s only $37.90 so you can’t really go wrong. I love it paired with the plaid scarf and flat boots. So chic and classic.

THANKSGIVING TABLES

Can you believe it’s November!? What? How did that happen? It’s time to start getting your ducks in a row for the holidays so you can fully enjoy them. If you are starting to gather ideas for Thanksgiving tables, I’ve link a couple of mine below.

They looks adorable! Grady really does look like Harry. And, I am cracking up at Riley…she rocked the girly cheer outfit by making it creepy and wearing her converse best. Love it.
Haven’t seen those trees at any of the Home Goods here yet. Will have to keep an eye out.

Thank you, Lauren. And yes! It cracked me up too how R put her funk on it so the girly girl costume didn’t take center stage! And the high tops, too! Love how you caught that. It’s so her. Hope you’re having a great week. I am sure you are still so proud of your daughter and her cheer team!

Grady is the best Harry Potter I’ve seen! The costume, his expression, glasses and his stance. Great job Grady and mama! Riley looks great, too! Fun costumes and it’s been a treat watching them grow up over the years. My little niece (she’ll be 2 on Christmas Eve) was a cute little cupcake. Happy November 1st!

Oh I love that she was a cupcake. That is adorable. It’s crazy how time has flown. My sister always told me that each stage is better than than the last and it’s so true. It’s just so fun watching them evolve and become more of who they are. G was CRACKING me up. That was all him with the stance and looks. I honestly took photos of him for just two minutes and each one was more hilarious than the last. Happy November to you! xo

I would wager a bet that Grady can rattle off Harry’s lines verbatim too!

Thank you so much for Sharing the Michael’s kit idea. I just scooped up some Thanksgiving ones to take to Thanksgiving at my dad’s house. We always go a little stir crazy there- grandpa’s house and a bunch of little kids doesn’t always mix so well… LOL! This will be a great activity for my boys and their cousins to do.
