A muted print or bold pattern can do so much to change the feel of a room. Recently, I added a neutral wallpaper to our guest room closet. I loved how much it elevated the small space. The best part is that it was a peel and stick wallpaper and so easy to install. Sharing 12 beautiful options in case you are getting the itch to create a bold new space.
blanket | side table | luggage rack | shams | robe
This particular wallpaper is no longer sold but I found so many pretty ones that have a similar feel (in fact I like them more). And this is a fun surprise when guests open up the closet. It took just a couple of hours but made a big impact.
Do you remember what the before looked like? It’s wild what adding wallpaper can do to a space. It really makes a massive difference.
NEUTRAL PRINTS
I wish I would have use this one! I just love it with the forest motif.
GRASSCLOTH
Grasscloth never goes out of style. We used the real thing in this powder bathroom (I had it professionally installed). The color is fog.
We used this Coastal Green grasscloth (peel and stick) in my daughter’s bathroom. It adds a splash of color above the shiplap and ties in with the rest of the space. (Lights found here).
A BIT MORE BOLD
I love the idea of boing bold. In fact I am toying with going very bold in one of our spaces. Here are some beautiful options. I really like these types of papers in a powder room.
This is a great example of how a bold wallpaper can completely change the feel of a space. This peel and stick option has a very similar feel.
This Juniper Forest wallpaper is a showstopper.
The Aleiah Floral Wallpaper has such a warm and welcoming feel to it. So pretty above a dark shiplap like this.
This Craw peel and stick has my heart. I am trying to figure out where I can install it. This colorway and the one below are so beautiful.
TRIED AND TRUE TIPS
What I love about a fun peel and stick wallpaper is that you can knock out a project in a couple of hours (or a weekend if it’s a large space). Here are some things that make the process much easier.
- Use a large table in the room to cut your pieces. Your back will thank you.
- Measure twice, cut once. Go slowly.
- While hanging a strip, smooth from the top down. I use a credit card to get rid of wrinkles and bubbles and it works beautifully. I smooth with the credit card and then a soft rag.
- Use a ruler and a knife to to trim at baseboards or any stopping point. Works like a charm.
- Do not rush. Put on great music and just take your time. It will save you time in the long run.
Let me know if you add any to your home. A closet, behind shelves, or above millwork are always nice places to start if you have never installed peel & stick paper before. And don’t be afraid . . .it takes patience but if you go slowly you’ll be shocked at what a difference a pretty pattern can make.

So beautiful!! Thank you for sharing. Just ordered the vintage floral peel n’ stick for behind my desk. Do you have any tips for applying it around electrical outlets?
