These candy bars are incredible!!! If you like dates, than you will love these. If you don’t like dates, you should still give them a try. They taste more like a caramel, chocolate, peanut butter goodness than anything else. We can’t quit them over here. And the best part is that they take under 10 minutes to make. I love that they are clean ingredients and come together in no time.

My mouth is watering just looking at these. The combination of flavors is so good.

They might not look pretty as they come together but do not let that scare you.

Dark Chocolate Date Candy Bars
Ingredients
- 12 ounces pitted dates
- 9 oz good quality dark chocolate chips – I like Enjoy Life
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
-
melt chocolate chips
-
place dates on parchment paper and press down with bottom of a glass
-
drizzle peanut butter over the dates
-
pour melted chocolate on top of the dates
-
sprinkle sea salt on the candy bars
-
freeze for an hour or two than cut apart
-
store in a glass container in the fridge . . . eat once they have thawed a bit. So yummy!

Once you make the bars, pop them in the freezer for an hour or two. Take them out and cut into bars. You can also make individual candies and not place them all together. You really can’t go wrong here. They are incredible stored in the fridge. Perfectly gooey and scrumptious. Enjoy!!!
*Love a snickerdoodle, this small batch recipe is perfect for an after school treat or to take to a party.
How many ounces are in the package of dates? Many thanks!
I grab the 12oz package from Trader Joes. I’ll add that to the recipe. Thank you for asking.
How many dates? or what size package?
Hi. I use the 12 oz package from Trader Joe’s (in the produce section).
Hi Courtney,
What peanut butter do you use that you can drizzle? My hubby insists on Jif which I know is not the healthiest option. Jif is very thick.
