Good morning, my friends. If you follow over on Instastories, you know that last night got a little bit ugly. Let’s just say Ikea has something to do with it. I’ll update you soon on how it all turned out! Lately I have been thinking so much about how it’s not always easy to pull a room together and make it look cohesive. While you may have all of the main pieces in place, sometimes you need a little inspiration to add the finishing touches. I pulled together a couple of different palettes (all on sale) that might help you do just that.
BLUSH ACCENTS
Whether it’s a living room, bedroom, nursery or sitting area, blush is such a relaxing hue to infuse in any space. I love this palette and how these pieces work together. You never want a room to feel flat so artwork is a great way to bring in multiple colors. It’s also a way to add different finishes with pretty frames. Blush really pairs with any metal. You could frame these prints in a light oak, brass or champagne silver. Texture is always key when making a room feel both inviting and finished. A great pillow ($21) and throw do wonders for any space. I also like the interest and texture of the stool.

I’m often asked about my favorite places to shop artwork. Minted and Etsy offer such an awesome selection. I also am a fan of framing your own artwork or children’s pieces with Framebridge. We did that in our navy blue powder room.
MOODY HUES
Using pretty much the same elements but in different colors, you can see how a room can change dramatically. I love these moody blue hues. I would love to curl up in a bedroom or living room with these colors. This is also a beautiful palette for a home office. Choosing a dramatic piece of artwork like the floral one or the flag print we have can really make a strong impact in a space. I am drooling over this rug. Masculine enough to go in a boy’s room as well.

The piece we have in this room is 40 x 54 with the champagne silver frame. We kept the rest of the room traditional but added a bold statement with the Flags print. The floral pillows are from Tonic Living (my favorite spot for custom textiles). Our table is from Living Spaces but I linked a similar one below. You can see more of this space here.

There is nothing bad about mixing the navy and blush, too! It’s one of my favorite combinations. More of this blush and navy party here.
Hope this helped spark a little inspiration for those of you in stall mode. I know how it is. You have a general direction for a space and then get stuck. Remember color, texture and artwork do wonders for pulling it all together. Let me know if you add anything new to your space. Or send me a DM on Instagram. I loves seeing my reader’s spaces.
Make it a great day.

Oh girl…I feel Ryan’s pain. Our youngest’s entire apartment was done from pieces from IKEA!!! Brave dad. Loving the navy. I need to “finish” our Master bath with some accessories (and maybe repaint the cabinets…leaning toward navy).
